Also are you sure you want to cat bonk an entire ARMY of cats? Are you sure you're french and not just suicidal.

That is a very good point -- One or two cats -- no problem - but a gazillion?

It's just cats, we can cook and eat them if they don't behave.

OMG OMG, you might consider hiring security -- I got in so much trouble for suggesting the optimal common sense approach to solving the cat population problem AND world hunger.

A key part of weight loss that some people forget is to have a healthy amount of sleep.
That might solve your energy issues

Yes sleep is very important and not something I'm good at either. I take a sleeping pill which helps, but it doesn't seem to matter how much or how little sleep I get, I wake up tired.

Happy Caturday!

Nearly 100 pounds in a year is not impressive, that only works out to 2 pounds about a week. People can loose that just by changing their eating habits. Personally I could never lose 100 pounds in a year, because my maximum weight used to be 215 pounds, with a 48 inch chest, 34 inch waist, 16 inch calves, neck and biceps and 24 inch thighs. Not impressive measurements, but I have never taken ped's. I am currently 194 pounds, with a 46 inch chest, 32 inch waist, 16 inch calves and neck, 14 inch biceps and 22 inch thighs and in my late 50's.

You're right, two pounds in a week is not much, even 10 pounds in 5 weeks doesn't make a big impression.
But 100 pounds in a year is already impressive. It means that it wasn't a spurt after which he gained even more weight.
@TVCrow - respect to you for that.
Out of politeness I won't ask how much you weighed before starting the diet

Not really, losing weight is all about calorie deficit, so either using up 500 calories per day being active or eating 500 calories per day less will equate to a 2 pound weight loss per week or doing a combination of both to reach -500 calories per day.

Can we get a source on that? Everywhere we looked or heard, 500 calorie deficit is about 1 pound per week, not 2

Your right apparently it is 1,000 calories per day, which is about the same as 2 McDonalds quarter pounders with cheese. Also if someone is obese to start with, then cutting back on a 1,000 calories per day should be easy. If I tried to lose 100 pounds, I probably would end up looking like this...
