Sonic movie is honestly the biggest best example of it. The uproar about how Sonic looked (Rightfully so) caused the movie to be delayed while they reanimated Sonic.

D&D, Target and Bud Light definetely occured outside my bubble. They did not make waves on my side of the Pond. I will look into it, thanks for the food for thought guys.
