Just a quick announcement about my personal life, if you don't care you can move along, nothing witty in here.

Just wanted to say, I lost my grandpa the night to yesterday, and used most of yesterday to try and process that.
It didn't come as a shock, as we were all kinda expecting it at some point, because the doctors had given him some months left.
I'm okay, and yes I was very close to him, maybe not in the last couple of years, because he had sarted to forget us.
But it still hurts to lose him.

I lost my final grandparent like 10 years ago, and I still miss them sometimes. My sympathies for your loss.

My bro and his friends enjoyed the live action Cowboy Bebop. They've never seen any of the anime, and didn't even know it was adapted at first.
So, that's a success, even if I didn't like it very much.

The real problem is that the founding fathers misnamed the country right from the beginning, but "the somewhat united-ish states of the southernish part of north america" would never fit on a dollar bill.

There has been a few animes I've watched that are only a few episodes and some have been great. While the manga is huge. Sometimes written material like books don't translate into things that can be longer like movies and shows.

Only cure is time. I'm one of the lucky ones who never got hangovers except maybe twice in my life when I drank near and entire 750 mL bottle of liquor. Though nowadays for health reasons and getting up/going to bed earlier it's a beer or 2 a night.

Nowadays when I'm gonna go on a binge with my cousins and siblings I take an omeprazole and a pedialyte beforehand. Takes the edge off the hangover by 90%-99%. Unless I go reeaaaaaally overboard with the drinking, which I haven't done in years.

The anime is done. It was technically a ova. Released between Oct of 14 and Feb of 15. But they are coming out with a third season of the Netflix show

The shock value to goblin slayer was the opening scene in the first episode. But the anime toned it done majorly. Wasn't even shown basically. The manga was very graphic in its depiction. A guy I work just watched Vinland and enjoyed the first season but said the second season was garbage.

I haven't watched any of one piece yet. Same guy at work says the live is just as good as the anime. Plus he said they removed a lot of the filler stuff that made the anime seem slow in places

I liked both seasons.
Maybe it's because the second one is less violence and more politics, I think.
Just like season 3 IIRC of Attack on Titan gets a lot of hate.
