I posted Chicken Parm earlier, an American dish. Its sibling, Spaghetti with meatballs is also American, not Italian.
Jambalaya is certainly American as well.
I'd bet there are tons of TexMex dishes that are clearly American. Fajitas are American, I think.

Plenty of "Chinese" dishes are also American, General Tso's Chicken

EXACTLY! It's amazing to see how foods change as they move to different places! Any dish in any country is usually based on another similar dish. Each of those is probably close to something from somewhere else.


For example, chicken parm is American, but Eggplant parm is Italian.

Edit: I'll see if I can fin that documentary.

Sometimes different foods are similar, sometimes the same food are different.
It's very common for a dish to have many variations, not just in fillings and such, but in different main ingredients, techiniques and cooking steps overall.
Pizza here in Brazil is probably different from pizza in the US, which is very different from the original pizza recipe all the way back to I don't know when.
And it's very cool!

Gen Tsos chicken is based on a Taiwanese dish which is similar, which paid homage to the original General Tsos favorite food, which was chicken and hot peppers. If you ever get the chance look up a short documentary called "Searching for General Tso" just over an hour long and really fascinating.

It's so long since it was update, so i was thinking the game was abandoned, plus, the dev was harassed by some idiots because of the trans character.

Must be disheartening to be harassed like that, understandable to have low motivation for continuing development. I really liked Nea as a character.
