I believe that with watched you will get notifications when people post something in that thread, whereas bookmark you just have the thread saved to your profile for quick access but won't get notifications

Bookmark is an exact post, watching a thread will take you to last unread post.

ok that took an unexpected turn haha

People are still trying to get me to like raw cucumbers!
I assume it'll be the same timeline: disgust, mild disgust, disinterest, curiosity. And then one day, I want to put them in my mouth.

I never had problem with it, and here the system and scales are the same between the checkout lines, the only different is that one is a employe

Ours are in the next lane over and has the same scale, but i think people just drop full baskets on them all the time, so the scales are fucked up.
I scan the little UPC from the bag of oranges, put it on the scale, price pops up as $90 for 50 lbs of oranges.

I'm not old.

I meant the slow and stupid in the line.

[Tosser]

First of all, I don't remember Treebeard ever going to Helm's Deep. In fact, he fought in Isenguard and stayed there after the battle. In the books, he was supposed to guard the tower to keep Saruman imprisoned there. He didn't keep Saruman there, (let him and wormtongue leave after getting the tower key) but he never fought at Helm's Deep.

The Huorns went to Helm's Deep and wiped out the fleeing Urak-Hai in the Strange Forest (which was actually just the Huorns themselves, if I remember right). But I was talking about the ents.
-The Huorn scene was in the extended edition.

So, a 100 foot wide by 50 foot high wall? I don't remember that, and thus, I am going to say it's BS.
Jackson didn't portray them enough as good-for-nothings.

As you can probably tell, I am irritated after arguing about Lord of the Rings. I am sorry if I offended your sensibilities, but I didn't want to look this stuff up. Or spend 30 minutes reading about Isenguard and Treebeard.

So, look, you are right: The Ents are suuuuuper cool badass dudes.

Glad you admitted it.

I reread it less than a month ago, and Wiki is utter shite because it's mostly done by people that only watched the movies. And much of what is added into the extended editions only tangentially reflects what Tolkien wrote in most cases, or is cut from whole clothe (the stew scene, Aragorn going over the cliff, and killing the Mouth of Sauron, for example) in others.

As Pippin recounts the events, he tells that Treebeard disappeared with Gandalf and didn't return until morning - this all happened after Treebeard and the Ents had torn through the walls and opened a mountain tunnel to the sky and started to destroy the workings of Saruman and his followers. It was in that time that he led the Huorns to Helm's Deep and they swallowed what army remained, and returned in the morning. Remember - these guys move quickly when they decide to move, and the Huorns move under command.

When the walls are described, they are described as being carved from the trailing ends of the mountains - think about the large roots at the base of a tree that stand above the ground, but signficantly larger and of solid stone, as a mountain range peters out to the plain. I don't recall dimensions in feet being given, but the descriptions were of something that was formidable, into which at least five levels of dwelling and storage spaces had been carved, and through which light did not pass easily from end to end - this wasn't an overpass on an eight lane freeway, but something much more significant.

The predation of the forest by Sarumon had been gradual, but when the Ents heard of the greater events, they called their moot and "quickly" (for ents) chose war.

You can continue to be dismissive, but if you go back and reread the books, I think you'll admit that you're objectively wrong in your assessment.

EDITED: In Fonstad's "The Atlas of Middle-earth", which is based upon Tolkien's drawings, writings and notes, the "Ring of Isengard" is illustrated as approximately 40 yards thick (somewhere over 100 feet, but less than 150) where the gate passage is cut through, and approximately 100 feet high.

Further, Gandalf's riddle at the beginning of the chapter "The Road to Isengard" refers to Treebeard (aka, Fangorn) as the one that caused the Huorns to be present at Helm's Deep. Later in the chapter, after Theoden and Gandalf's party had ridden through the Huorns, Gimli made note of eyes within the woods; Gandalf confirmed that they were the shepherds, or herdsmen, of the forest - in other words, Ents. Thus, they were led to Helm's Deep by Treebeard, with younger Ents left in charge of the Huorns. Upon completing their mission, the Huorns were led back to Fangorn forest by the Ents among them. The numbers were not stated, but the language suggests quite a few.

Morning lurkers! Rise and mine!

[LUVGAMZ23]

I'm no expert, but I believe in the States a lot of workers that have the strictest policy on sick days also have less good health insurance through work, so getting a doctor's note might cost several hundred dollars. Even if it justifies the day/days off, it might be hard to afford a doctor's visit. Especially if you're obviously sick (diarrhea, for example) but there's really nothing to do but let it pass. So you pay for a confirmation that you're sick and you need to stay home and drink water.

I'm really sorry to hear that. Hopefully this'll boost your spirits:
I bounced around in many countries, so I don't know which one I was in.

In one of them, for ONE clinic, the doctor absolutely saw me for a medical note...

...and billed my employer and not me. The doctor also sent a scathing note to my company's HR, stating the waste of patient and doctor time and resources re: Doctor's notes. The doctor also spoke about his clinic's legal representation. I told all my co-workers about it. They started to go there for their notes.

I got pulled to HR. They gave me the maximum (!) severance for termination without cause that was available for my position (likely due to the doctor's mention of lawyers) and I was told in the most polite way I've ever heard to basically never darken my employer's door again.

Worth it!

It's gonna be another one of those, where I post and have to leave, for some hours.

Spoiler: kikomascado

The first five or so HS games that I tried were total shit, so I got very biased towards it.
I only tried them because I kept seeing people praise Once in a Lifetime. Then I went to Eternum, Pale Carnations, Ripples, a House in the Rift... All games I enjoyed.
If you have more recomendations of some that I might've missed, I accept it.
Mist is on the list, but didn't got to try it yet.

One of the problems with HS I think is, that when it looks bad, it really looks bad, but when it's good, I've seen people question if it even is HS models.
Also two recommendation!
Cosy Cafe, and if you don't mind sandbox elements Harem Hotel.
And no, I'll never stop shilling these, because they right now are my favorites...

Do you still like games that use Honey Select rendering? I played a lot of them when I first discovered porn games, but I feel like the visuals have turned me off over time. I've recently felt that way again with Daz3D renderings, there are a lot of games that have similar visuals.

Do you have a preference for the visuals?
Sorry if this has been asked before.

Yupp, I do, two of my favorites are made in with HS rendering.
But I agree some of them do look pretty bad.

Spoiler: Steph

Now I have the mask, and the power is all mine. Muwuhahahaha

There you go Steph, now throw around those banana powers!
SHOW THEM ALL THE POWER OF THE BANANA SECT!

May your bananas be ever tasty!

Spoiler: Doc

Don't listen to that roid-rage, testicle hating Bonk. He's just jealous cause his main squeeze, @Slumdum said I have a better ass. But anyway.. thank you. I do all kinds or surgeries. You might just see one right now, when I surgically attach Bonk's head to a currently non-metallic moron.

Yeah, Doc, I'm gonna need some proof for that, I haven't been that drunk yet...

Your eyes though...

Spoiler: anon

If you hadn't, I was gonna make it...
I had the exact same joke ready...

for Slum's morning wall and to see how the mods are summoned today. Watching as they creep ever closer to the front of the thread. Also seeing if they catch that in Blood's comic that they were halfings

Yeah, no pressure at all...
And

And they even talked about elven runes in the first page this time, and I was like "Ha! Elves then!", but nope... Halflings I guess...
I must admit, I'm not one for bushes or feminine men, but I'm invested in the story now!

Spoiler: Guzmeister

damn that's big

I don't even know if you're joking because on V5 theme (the best one for mods) don't show staff members properly all the time, and it's 100% random

Yeah, more times than not, people you follow don't show up in the list on the main page....

I know a lot of people that CAN do that

Welcome
I'm glad you think like that, I was in the same situation, it felt like I was being forced to do something that I hate, but after meeting so many wholesome people around here, I'm gladly spending 15 hours here every single day

wait, are you really thinking about backreading all that???

He's one of us after all, a true backreader!

I'll be back tomorrow, take care

Spoiler: tapninco

You guys don't seem too antisocial tbh, I was scammed

Well some of us antisocial and lurkers do have to keep the thread going, so new people can jump in, and have a place to be and feel welcome.

Spoiler: Mod summoning.

*There is a note left here*
Dear @Guz89, @Shawnchapp, @BeowulfKnight and @mime.
When you read this, I will have started on my journey to atone for my sins.
I have to find Guwnknime, and set things right again.
Before the mask left me, I saw a vision of forrests, mountains and rivers.
I hope to find Guwnknime in one of those places...
I will not stop until it's back safe again, I just hope, I find it before the Slum Demons...
I see the errors of my ways in trying to banish it, it was just trying to help me.
Remember to "Praise the Slum", to keep them at bay, and help me in my search...
Anyway if you see me out there, wave at me or something.
I'll be leaving messages everyday until my search is done!
Xoxo Slumdum, The Searcher of Guwnknime
Praise the Slum!

Summoning is complete!

Welp, see you all later!

Edit: Wait... It took me almost an hour to put this together?
From anons post above, and I pretty much started, after I reacted...
