Haha, it's still wild, that it does exists, specially after such a flop, but, you're probably right, perhaps the studio paid the publisher for the rights, and they're now using the boost of sales from the terrible movie, as well as the money they got from Lionsgate for the rights of the IP. Well, so far all of them have been pretty good, so, here's hoping the 4th doesn't disappoint.

I can recommend the Swedish version, didn't care for the American one.

The Swedish one was much darker, but the cast in the American one didn't do a bad job.

But, I thought City of Angels was better cinematography and the soundtrack was equal in greatness as the first movie.
Plus, an original story, and was a very good take on the first movie. Most of the hate was unwarranted, IMO.

I just think it's iconic because Brandon Lee (killed it, no pun intended), but Vincent Perez really didn't do a bad job- maybe the writing could've been better. Dude had big shoes to fill- kinda like whomever tries to become the next Joker. Heath Ledger may have ruined that job for many, many, many years to come for other actors...

In Brasil we don't celebrate Dia de los Muertos, but we also have a day to mourning our deads. It's not a celebration like the mexicans, but it is a holiday here.
Festa Junina's food is mainly made of corn, so no problem for you.
To see a Carnival Parade just like the news, you have to go to Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo, but everywhere you have a band playing Carnival music, usually parading, but in this case YOU ARE THE PARADE! This happens in small city, and also in big cities, with known artists bringing millions behind them singing.

It is interesting how Brazil is different from place like Mexico, but maybe just culture is different this way from the Spanish speaking places. We also have a ceremony of celebrate the dead, or I should say some Japanese do because it is old old practice that many younger generation don't even know these days. I think also here it is more about light candles and just give our ancestors honor.
I like corn so Festa Junina should be something i can enjoy. I heard most Brazil people are very friendly and welcome visitors so seems nice place.
I did hear about the Rio De Janeiro Carnival. This is the one I remember see on the tourist shows here. They explain many many people are in the streets just have lot of fun and there are also people who hand make their costumes and such and it is supposed to be a huge family event, so, seems good fun. I actually only know very very small bit abo0ut Brazil. Almost nothing really, only that the Amazon Forest is there and something about many people want to help protect the virgin forest and the cool creatures lives there as well as some tribes of Amazon, but the South America lands interest me, so, maybe one day can visit some countries. I love different country food so I will enjoy this lol.
