Tried some and was not impressed because of quite similar templates of character design and overall artstyle. Also there was no animations, so that's why I dally'em off.

Yes and no.
It's just like DAZ, HS. They also look the same as long the dev's don't care to make them theirs own models.
AI is not yet what many hope for, its stil need some help from a human brain (recommend a lewd and nasty one )

Ther are some AI artist one this site and some of them are rely god and give AI the needed help.

AI CG could help talented story writers who can't draw, but judging by the games I've played, stories in them are also created by AI.

Not a big supporter of AI games but I don't know. Maybe there will be a day where there is a really good one that is made that could change my views.

I think a lot of people over-estimate the competency of AI content still. It is doing some impressive stuff, but it really lacks the ability to be consistent in what it makes (most evident by trying to have it make a series of pictures). This is due to a lack of comprehension that I think people are surprised is lacking. It's got a lot of promise but I think the quality most people are looking for, myself included, is still many years off.

Looks promising so far IMO, I'm hopeful for the future, but at the same time not holding my breath. It's clearly a bit limited right now.

It's too early to judge. The examples I am familiar with are unfortunate. But a full assessment can be made in about five years, at the earliest.
In this regard, I am reminded of a story like this. In the early 1970s, Chinese Premier Zhou Enlai was asked by French journalists to give an assessment of the Great French Revolution. The answer they received was that it was too early to give an opinion, not enough time had passed
Somehow it is the same with AI.

I'm all for AI writing if that's going to improve story and writing quality. But AI images look so off still.
