Okay all you Poke-people. You seem to be very knowledgeable so I'll give this a shot. I'm Pokemon illiterate. I think I played one of the NES ones for maybe an hour, just grinding in a field. I can put a few names to pictures via cultural osmosis. Is there a game you'd recommend for me? I'd like to try to understand the appeal. If the appeal is "a grindy collectathon rpg", I can dig that if it's done well. If the appeal is "a grindy collectathon rpg with a complicated evolution/breeding mechanic that exponentially increases the grind by chasing small percentage odds", that's probably a turn-off unless the gameplay itself is fun enough on its own. If the appeal is something else... well idk but I'm open to being surprised!
This is a tough question, because all Pokémon games are equally accessible, especially the newer ones.
The magic of Pokémon is that you end up growing attached to those creatures that are part of your team; we all have a favorite Pokémon, a favorite type, ways of building our teams, and rules we set for ourselves when playing.
It’s… hard to explain, because as you read this, it sounds silly, but it’s something you have to experience. In the end, the core of Pokémon is friendship and camaraderie; they’re the foundation of everything, no matter how cheesy and sappy that sounds.

From the main series, I’d recommend Pokémon Emerald, Platinum, and Black/White—they’re the best and easiest to emulate.
Outside the main series, the Pokémon Ranger trilogy is amazing and quite underrated. But the true pinnacle of Pokémon games is the Mystery Dungeon series—it’s simply perfect, especially Explorers of Time, Sky, and Darkness (there are three games; I recommend Sky and Darkness) and Super Mystery Dungeon, though there are things you won’t appreciate if you haven’t played the other titles.

Does anybody know why my links to other posts sometimes have have previews and sometimes just the link?
You mean the replies right? if so yeah that's something i never understood here, maybe it just takes time to load?

Good response! Sounds like building custom strategy/synergy with a chosen playstyle that feels good to the individual is a large part of the fun. Seeing your team/strategy thrive and adapt to new challenges. Makes me wonder if there's a best/strongest/meta team or if different playstyles are really well balanced so it all can work and be fun.

It goes even further than that—obviously, having a balanced team and a well-thought-out strategy is part of the game... But sometimes you choose your team members just because you like one Pokémon more than another, or because you’ve never had that Pokémon on your team before, and things like that.

Normally I like seeing the preview but I want just the link for my chose your own adventure posts.

Not sure if real or joking anymore.

How should I go about getting answers for my poll here? Post in thread 'Adorably Cute - M+' https://lewdcorner.com/threads/adorably-cute-m.21313/post-990540
Creating a thread for each post is messy. I was thinking of mapping options to reactions and counting them, what do you think?

I don't know about others, but I haven't responded to that because I try to avoid conversing on the image threads

I'd say next is laying down, either preparing for inspection, being inspected, having fun with herself a bit. Getting toys is after that, part of moving to a new phase/scene.

Makes sense. I'll create a thread and add a link to coordinate the poll.

I've been seeing a lot of decent AI contnent lately and I want to try making some of my own just for personal use. Have any of you tried any such AI models? Preferably something i can run locally for free. I literally have no clue where to look. Most of what comes up when searching is paid and can only make generic stuff.
