There actually is more truth to our joking round than some people think./ Especially in Australia where th sun UV reys are pretty high.

I do like sun, and its important for us apparrently, with vitimin D or whatever it is, but so many people here get skin canser and sun related problems that does make me wonder, so I suggest people convert to vampirism right now and stay lurking in dark places....

like... Ummm??? LC nand such sites..

Much safer than those sun beams and sunburn conditions

Definitely of the nocturnal persuasion myself. Haven't gotten into the blood thing, but I'm VERY fond of.... darkness

To be honest, probably few years ago I was in rl into the blood. I experemented and I did enjoy it for a while, but then there are dozens of reasons it can be unhealthy. Mainly the hygene and all this, but then I was never hugely into it, but rather more into vampire lor and legends, and Im bit of Goth in fashion. Nothing too drasic, just I like black and the jewellry and some styles that blend with 21st century looks.

I probably should be nocturnal, and would if I didn't need the use of the daylight themes, such as shops ect.

I do find when I used work as night shift there was always something kinda magical and less chaotic than the day, but these days I am more hermit and daytime that night. But the sun is something in rl that I try limit when it is summer time and hot.

I can see the appeal in an intimate sense, for sure. But yeah, overall sun is just bad. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad it exists and we get to be alive. But it really needs to learn to respect boundaries.

Indeed it is, wonderful original video. Figured it was a widely-known meme by now and just linked the clip. But yes, if anyone HASN'T seen the original, it's one of the best things on youtube.
they have lots of classics, same as MelodySheep, their old stuff is a little off the wall to.

Exactly. I have a mixed feeling about sun, as in the human tolerance. Sure, without it we would not exist. it is an amazing and wonderful powerful radiance and I love the many effects sun produce. However, I'm not sure on darker skin tones, but the whiter tones like my, we need be careful about how much time we spend. I think its more about the levels of UV light rather than sun itself, as such. The heat is not best as we know, but I do get little concerned about the harmful over exposure to UV from the sun, so, sure, I go out there and sometimes get little tan, but I try avoid to get skin cancer. In Australia, where I live, the UV light is very strong, so people who work out all day in these conditions should be careful whenever they can.

You maybe not able to prevent cancer if it strikes, but I feel at least we can do what we can. Honestly, I rather be inside in a nice cool conditions around 20c is ideal, with no humidity and filtered light. Probably should put tint on my car when I drive it helps, but cant afford to lol.

I've been in the equatorial sun. It's intense. Currently I'm in the high-altitude sun. Not sure it's any better. If there's a difference, it doesn't feel as... heavy, maybe? It doesn't have that suffocating quality, it's just... burny lol

high altitude sun is worse as its not as filtered through our atmosphere.
you can see this in the cultures that have lived on mountain tops for untold amounts of time

Yeah, it creeps up on you. You don't feel like you're getting much, but you can get a sunburn in 30 minutes

yeah, I have no idea, but recently I learned to check the UV light on the weather app on my phone. Its very useful. Im not sure if temperature has anything to do with UV, but its the UV that is the problem for I think most/all human skin, as in over exposure, but I'm far from expert. I just read bits here and heard from other people.

However, for my body type, and most likely most people, is the high humidity. That not just causes intense sweat, but drains my body very fast and its in my opinion, far worse than the general sun conditions. Although summertime here and also in Japan where im from, wow, I would rather be inside AC. Extreme heat whith plus 30 to 35c and high humid its not fun. Rest of year is pretty fine tho

How are your latest experiments proceeding, Doctor? Any interesting research to share with us?
They're... progressing. That's all I will say. :censored:

You should come live by me. It's desert-dry. So it's impossible to drink enough water, but the cold doesn't feel as cold, the hot doesn't feel as hot, and there's no mosquitos.

can someone please buy me this rank ?
i can't afford it.

hmmm a not so hot desert? Not so sure desert life is my style... Although it has appeal to it. I have lived for few years in a desert place. Sadly it was often hot, but that was summer, and we saw some amazing things, but the no mosquitos sounds truly wonderful They are the (necessary) pests we are forced to endure where i am but I learned to close windows at certain times.

I do miss having lots of trees around, and that after-rain smell. I suppose the grass is always greener...

we have mosquitoes which are known to bite so much it makes you bleed, deer flies, black flies that will literately eat the skin off your head & the back of your neck & ticks that can give you lyme disease & lets not mention the spiders & snakes
