I completely agree—sharing any personal information online is asking to be a victim of cybercrime. It’s basic online safety not to give out personal information, no matter who asks for it.

All this online ID verification nonsense is like a Christmas miracle for cybercriminals. A ton of sensitive personal information, all stored across multiple services with questionable security measures.
A single attack, and millions of people will be affected. And no one will take responsibility; it will be an “accident” where the victim gets screwed, and those who forced the release of that information will say, “No one could have foreseen or prevented this.”

Discord can get fucked.

Since Discord keeps drifting further into this pathetic “hand over your ID so we can decide if you’re allowed to exist” direction, I decided I’m done relying on them. I’m not building a community on a platform that keeps moving closer to treating ordinary users like criminals, products, or liabilities the second it becomes convenient for them.

That kind of shit destroys privacy, destroys trust, and destroys the entire point of having an actual community in the first place.
