Members of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 developer Sandfall Interactive have been made Knights of the Order of Arts and Letters in France
French Minister of Culture Rachida Dati stated that “By decorating [Expedition 33‘s] team, the Republic affirms: video games are a major art form and an essential industry.”
French president Emmanuel Macron previously praised the studio, saying they were “showcasing French audacity and creativity.”

I'm sure the gacha dev took notes; we might get a gacha game with the mechanics from E33 in 2 years.

Well, similar combat mechanics is already in gacha games, after all, Exp33 did nothing truly revolutionary in that field. They added some interesting twists, sure. But nothing to base new genre on it.

I didn't mean just the parry on turn-based combat, but the feel the flow, the camera work, the UI, and the animation for a counter hit as well. Haven't seen any gacha game coming close to that. But now they will in a few years.

Fart and shart?

The sign is a subtle joke. The shop is called "Bart's Fart and Shart", where fart and shart both end in the sound "-art", thus rhyming with the name of the owner, Bart. The sign says that the shop was "Formerly Chuck's", implying that the two words beginning with "F" and "S" would have ended with "-uck", rhyming with "Chuck". So, when Chuck owned the shop, it would have been called "Chuck's Farduck and Sharduck".
