you could probably start watching any modern anime that's popular right now and do fine, anime is made to be pretty digestible nowadays.
frieren i haven't watched, but it's critically acclaimed. jujutsu kaisen is very action centered and entertaining. dandadan is fantastic if you want to see something that's really out there.

and for some personal picks:
samurai champloo. this one is cool all around. sick style, great music and animation all mixed with hiphop culture.
mob psycho. unique 'simple' art style with crazy animation. it's a story about self improvement. everyone should watch it
one punch man, also by the creator of mob psycho. especifically season 1. season 1 of one punch man is a gem brought to life by some of the best animators in the industry. easy must watch. it's also hilarious
i'd consider all these pretty digestible too

I've been thinking of getting into anime, in terms of genre anything but horror (for now). Ive only watched godzilla animes. That is it. I'm not watching one peice idc if its only one season that i think just ended?

i did watch dragon ball z and some dorimon? Derimon? The one with the blue cat talking cat. Only a few episodes of both shows when it was on cartoon network. But i fell of them rather quickly. What do yall recommend. Oh i did watch the deer girl anime though. I liked it.

I know you say any genres but are there any you prefer?

Whatever, really, i haven't watched tv or shows in years. But anime is a whole different thing. I am willing to try whatever people recommend.

BUT, it would be nice to start off with shorter shows though.

I see your profile is piper...she is mine. The only character i love from ZZZ. The only character i actively want to see and disappointed when she is not involved or even cameo in a side story/event. I love piper....but ZZZ hasn't release any other character that grabs me so i gave up on that game. But piper will live on in my heart and all engines and scratch cards and other gambling stuff for the rest of time. She puts the in ZZZ. I love her...she is best. I love her voice and her "lil ol me" when she gets nervous/flustered/embarrassed/etc. Piper deserves more and everything else. Long live piper and the mods that truly unlock her potential.

I've seen the memes of one frame man. Also do you mean the Netflix show death note?

I kid...but i heard it is not the most awful live action adaptation.

Nah, it's great! Well written, well animated, the action is great, and the sex scene half way in? Holy SHIT is it good!
A genuine tour de force! 5 stars! You should definitely watch it. In public. No earphones.

hmm okay series wise as a start full metal alchemist brotherhood might be a really good start. Death note, Naruto and Attack on Titan are high on most people's list. Demon Slayer although its not over yet. Movie Wie there is a lot I would say most Ghibli movies would be decent but would recommend going for Makoto Shinkai's stuff (Your Name, Weathering with you, 5 centimeters per second, Garden of words) starting with your name. Would also recommend cyberpunk edgerunners i you have played the game it better or arcane if you ever played league of legends. There is a lot out there if you ever have a certain genre I'm sure I could help find something.
