Does anyone have social media or forum recommendations that have a sense of community like this site?

I use Twitter and Reddit, but I often don’t know what to say. Everyone’s already said it, and if I force a comment, it feels insincere.

Here, I can lurk or join the conversation, and there’s always something interesting to discuss. Discord kinda feels like this, but even in the general channels of many servers, the discussions don’t branch out or cover multiple topics like this forum does.

I don't really use social media, the most I have is a discord account but I mainly just use it to DM people :3 Definitely get what you mean with the sense of community being lost in a lot of social media <3

After all, there was never a time with so much possibility to interact globally. Pubs and clubs are now traded in for channels, forums and servers, that are highly specific in it's purpose. The general threads are just a spam and offtopic buffer, so they not interesting for someone, that is only there for the highly spefic information.
I just saw this kind of interaction like here on forums that specialized in lolcows like Chris Chan and Dragon Lord. Other than that there are pretty active Imageboards like the 2/4/8 chans.

i'd keep looking around, even on sites like twitter and reddit (which tbh i stay far away from). you found this place right? gotto be another that fits your vibe somewhere else. i second Twigless Leaf on imageboards

I would say Discord but you need to find a good server that relates to you and not just try to fit in, reddit and twitter have too many people already and I at least don't feel that connected with the conversation there.
