Did you play it?
No not yet, but but it is the first solo game I'll play when me and my friends finish Space engineer run.

This modern games need so much hard drive space. Kingdome Come Deliverance takes about 120GB just for the download. This will be a long night clicking "I'm not a robot".
May I recommend FitGirl Repacks? She compresses games into sizes that people with limited bandwidth can actually manage. She also separates games into optional language packs, music, and even credit scenes, all of which you can opt out of downloading.

Be careful, though. There are fake sites that imitate FitGirl’s official site. I recommend checking FitGirl Subreddit to know which one is the real site.

It’s worth it, imo. Big games usually get cut in half, while smaller games are often reduced by about one-third.

Unless you don’t want to deal with piracy or cracks and prefer Steam achievements, then I guess it’s out of the question.

So this fit girl, she just takes game and makes the game smaller?

That is crazy! On the one hand, awesome realistic graphics are cool but not so cool If I can only fit one or two games on my rig at a time. I Might have to stop being so cheap and spring for some decent storage.
Not to sound like a boomer elitist, but old games really are where it’s at. Great stories, gameplay that doesn’t hold your hand, and tons of freedom to do whatever you want. They’re also usually pretty long, from a time before content was cut up and sold as DLC.

You could easily get 300 hours of content for, what, maybe 10 GB at most? The playtime-to-hard-drive-space ratio is way better than with modern games.

The only real downside is the sometimes janky controls, but for some people that old-school jank is part of the appeal.

I loved
I played Expedition 33, and it was probably my game of the year too. Phenomenal writing and voice acting, fun game play, gorgeous looking, a soundtrack I listen to even outside of game, it was damn good.

Granted that's mostly opinion based. It can come across as a bit.... depressing, at times, which not everyone may like. But yeah, good game. Wasn't the only good game, others may have preferred others. Like, I found 'Blue Prince' incredibly frustrating and annoying, just never clicked for me, but it topped quite a few lists too.

Any suggestions for a fan of RPGs/ action/ adventure games?

Anyone got any good RPG Maker game recs on this site? :3
Goblin Layer 🤣. It’s a parody of Goblin Slayer where you cuck goblin men out of their women. I find it hilarious as a guy, but I’m not sure if it’ll do much for you since you're a gal.

Here you go a shortlist of Adult RPGMaker games.
  • Legend of Queen Opala 1&2
  • Legend of Queen Opala: Origin
  • The Last Sovereign
  • A Struggle with Sin
  • Roundscape Adorevia
  • Peasant's Quest

There is no innovation without constraint.
I agree so much with this.

This is why I love what I love: old games and Minecraft.

I love seeing the creative ways developers of the past made in-game environments feel believable using just a handful of default low-poly models, whether through clever placement or programming tricks.

In Minecraft, it’s amazing how people build furniture and details out of blocks in ways you wouldn’t expect, combining them so they actually work.

Even easier than code optimization is simply not including massive movie-quality cutscenes. Easily save tens of GB and lower production costs at the same time.
Or, you know… just compress them. Absolute horror for modern developers.

Yeah, I wish games just had a English languages pack only language anyone really needs those other voice lines are just bloat.
Make them DLC and those who want it pay...I would support such idea

Wait? 🤨 So people have to pay for not being fluent in English? Hmm...

I agree with making them FREE DLC though.

Yup, you got it 👍.

Instead they could go back to the old installers that specifically asked which languages you wanted to install. You can then choose what you want. However, that's not the 'one click install' ease that a modern consumer expects, so instead they give you everything. It's also why a lot of games freak out if you try to move their directory or the save game locations; they weren't built with any level of user customization in mind.

I think this would be best. It would save the space without having to charge people who would rather have the game in French.

Not just language optional files though. Would be nice to just download 1k videos and textures as well instead of bloated 4k ones.

JRPGs would be the optimal target as you don't need twenty languages with audio and video.

Anyway on the topic of repackers there are others beside FitGirl.

You have Elamigos and DODI Repacks. Their repacks install faster.
