Its well known that the moment he got power he banned all Communist, and SOCIALIST party's, Even had a bunch of his opposition arrested. He even made it so his party was the only party. Not very socialist of them.

It was a name to just get support and fool the public, it was, and always will be, Propaganda. They were the farthest thing ever from Socialist.
