I do respect Kojimas work but he is a hack and if he would ever make an actual movie people would see how much he sucks so he avoids it like the plague.

I do respect Kojimas work but he is a hack and if he would ever make an actual movie people would see how much he sucks so he avoids it like the plague.

At the beginning he could have made great stories, but right now? He is overly pretentious and in love with his fame, the only reason he is still relevant is because of his cult following. Which reminds me of the Snyder cult to be fair.

Different medium, I don't think he's some genius like all the jerkers worship him as, but he's not as bad as all the criticism as well. It's hard to discuss a middling artist (IMO, but it's always subjective) without it spiraling out of control.

Yeah, I totally get what you mean about Kojima. It's like his work just polarizes people, and finding a balanced take often feels impossible without someone jumping in to declare him either a god or a fraud. The discussion definitely spirals easily.

Anyways, to answer your question, I'm just chilling here, catching up on some movies and really enjoying the downtime. What about you folks?

I don't like all of Kojima's works, but I respect someone for pushing boundaries and staying true to their artistic vision. Video games would be worse off without Kojima.
