What the hell are you talking about? @MAOAM posts stuff? That spanking scene is straight up softcore porn. I expect for a subset of the population, it's quite arousing to watch.

Shunning can work if the person being shunned has a sense of shame. Sadly, the world seems to have lost its sense of shame for most things, and has redirected it in such a way that folks try to shame people for not being into things most of society once saw as shameful - or for being of a particular ancestry and not being ashamed of it.Actually I see a lot of parallels between how we handle it and shunning in different cultures.
Works like a charm - especially when being thrown out of the village might just kill you.
- Social Control: Shunning can serve as a means to maintain social order and discourage behavior deemed harmful to the community or violating cultural values.
- Restorative Justice: In some tribes, shunning or social exclusion might be a temporary measure intended to prompt the individual to reflect on their actions and seek reconciliation.
- Protecting Community Harmony: Shunning might be employed when an individual's actions threaten the community's well-being, spiritual balance, or social cohesion.
I think it's less that people lost their sense of shame and more it's easier to find link minded communities who negate the effects of shaming. All of us high level arch criminals have our lucre laundered - nothing filthy about it.

And, yes: in today's culture, I realize that mentioning that dynamic makes me "fragile".![]()

I find the use, or attempted use, of shame in a subculture that calls out 'kink-shaming' as uncouth or even 'evil' to be at least mildly, if not wildly, ironic.Shunning can work if the person being shunned has a sense of shame. What's really ironic is the lack of things mentioned in that song that were actual irony.I find the use, or attempted use, of shame in a subculture that calls out 'kink-shaming' as uncouth or even 'evil' to be at least mildly, if not wildly, ironic.

I understand you. Rather than to discuss the differences of our thoughts, trying to know and understand about each other is the best thing i think. No matter what we're arguing about, once you or I, or anyone, get into 'both sidesisms' or 'nuh uh... no U!', we're effectively if not explicitly talking politics. The argument rather than the content is what I presume is unwelcome in the thread. Content can provoke arguments, but the argument is the problem, is what I'm tryna say.
Danced to that at my prom in the mid 80s, as well as "I Would Die For You" - my date and I singing it to each other as we danced. You must be registered to see attachments

That is the best option, but it only works if both sides are willing to come to the table as honest actors with an open mind and listen to what the other says. Like this co-worker of mine has pretty much the opposite views of me yet discuss politics and other world issues and we get along just fine because we both listen to what the other says, heck he even thanked me a while back for it.I understand you. I'll dessert you any day of the weekNever gonna give you up, never gonna let you down. Never gonna run around and desert you. Never gonna make you cry, never gonna say goodbye - never gonna tell a lie and hurt you.

Good morning, have some camel toeGood morning everyone
Look at you, using big words that I was sure was "made up" or a possible health condition.Sciuridae is the official name of the taxonomic family of animals, belonging to the rodentia order(aka the rodents), that people usually refer to as simply squirrels. This includes the tree squirrels, the ground squirrels (chipmunks belong here btw) and the flying squirrels. Just because I'm pulling @Simon_Says leg a bit, it doesn't mean I don't know some biology. Do note btw that this does mean that chipmunks are indeed taxonomically speakings squirrels, as they belong to the sciuridae family. They are simply not tree squirrels. Which is what people often think of when they think squirrels.
Hey Key. I am fine how about you?Hey everyone, how goes it?
I'll dessert you any day of the week
