discussion Lack of games+ updates?

Is it me or the games+ category is almost dead? after buying the rank I was all excited, but now if we get 1 single update per week, it's optimistic! Am I missing something?

There's been a lot of pressure lately from payment processors against that kind of content, and it all rolls downhill to make it much harder for devs to make any money with games featuring underaged characters. Plus legal prosecution in some places has scared a lot of people away. So yes, a number of games have been canceled, and few new ones are being started.

That's up to you, really. There's a pretty good collection that's already there, and it isn't going anywhere.

Posting more isnt going to magically make more devs make games.

Imo members + is just not worth it right now.Personally think the number of "good" games that are not found on other free sites like eff 9 5 are like...3 games total.

True. I just don't think complaining on here is worth it. It's not this sites fault. And onto of that these are free games. I've talked with numerous devs and as surprising as it might seem to the thread poster making a free game is hard to do when you have to work full time

When I first came here there was way more games+ games but because of the way things have gone in the past year, year and a half it's started to get few and far between. I'd say a lot of it is due to devs being afraid of legal action especially after all that bs with that one dev, then we have other devs retiring because of issues in rl. Yet I still hope eventually things will get back to the way they were if not better, and when that happens hopefully there will be more APK links for those games

True. The "latest updates" page has 30 most recent games and it shows from 3 days ago.

Eff 9 5 for example has 30 also on theirs and it shows 19 hours as the last on the page

This site just never took off when the loli stuff died.

to keep the games up to date you need uploaders, members who sacrifice some time every day or week to update all those threads and games. And you can always become one yourself

This doesn't just apply to the LC. In recent weeks, the same thing has been happening on other sites, including F*95. The abundance of (pseudo-)Japanese graphics that I dislike, including HS/HS2, furry tags, real porn, which I ignore, and if you strip it all away, you're left with a very small number of projects, and the viability of a number of them is highly questionable, especially for new projects.
In 2022-23, the picture was quite different.

And yes, as was rightly said above - help the uploaders. I don't think it's a big deal to report on the release of updates to games I follow the development of. But these games are few, about a dozen, besides, you may have different tastes, wider range of interests, but why not help your favorite site?

I mean I paid for the games+ access with real money but ok. I also dont get how being "quiet" on the forum is something to belittle someone. I just think for the recent half a year or so, i refresh games+ updates often and at best i see 1 game per week or less.

- its not loli. Uploaders left. Sites search function is borked. And most importantly LC founder essentially said that LC can face potential shutdown.

I've expressed my point of view. You can hold different views, what's the problem?

And yes, we're all working. I, for example, am a design engineer for subway stations. But I do have time to report updates. It's a matter of a few mouse clicks. It's just that I always have the Latest Updates sections open in my browser tabs. And if before work or after work I see updates to games I follow (and there are very few of them - no more than a dozen), I notify the moderators of the new update.

Making posts gets people coins and once they have enough coins they can get the trinkets.

Considering your clear... difficulties... with understanding what other people are talking about, let me explain you as simple as it is possible - your dismissal of a claim that LC has "slowed down", by saying that releases that werent posted are unimportant because you dont care about them, are outing you as a... peculiar person. Yes, i will put this that lightly - a peculiar person. And also a person that manages to contradict their own statement.

- you make posts in some threads. Its not the same as creating new entries, which is a requirement for being uploader. Utilizing this logic, im currently helping LC by posting about its obvious shortcomings. Anyway, my point still stands - fix it yourself isnt an answer.
