Morning everyone!
Morning Lizzy! Best day of the week is here!
As today's cat in charge, it's my job to make the...
What's that movie/book/song/videogame that you can go back to again and again and never get tired of?
What a wonderful coincidence for you to ask this question on a Caturday! Black Cat, White Cat is one of those films that feels alive every time I watch it - chaotic, poetic, and full of soul. Beneath the absurdity, there’s a raw joy and tenderness that always pulls me back in. It reminds me that life, even in its messiest moments, can be beautiful. Also Balkans. Balkan charm never gets old.

Harry Potter fanboy here, so I have to go with Harry Potter for the movie and book. For a song It is probably “Somebody That I Used to Know” and the Assassin’s Creed franchise for video games

Lucky you, on saturday morning I was always in school T-T

They didn't have Saturday detention when I went, and didn't give it at all until Jr High. Before they just had you stand at the wall for a certain number of minutes at recess. They had a weird system. Talking in the halls was 5 minutes on Monday, 10 on Tuesday, 15 on Wednesday, etc. So was talking in the hall REALLY 5 times as bad on a Friday as on a Monday? And some teachers started at 10 rather than 5...

But.... but.... what about behind the ears?..

Morning, Lizbell!!!
Of course! Variety is the spice of life.

I read The Romance of the Three Kingdoms Unabridged, once a year. I have since I was about 11 years old. Though, I didn't actually get the Unabridged version until I was like 19-20.
I always wanted to read it but never found the time, and after that I forgot... I'll put it in the list for the next ones I read!
Movie: Lord of the Rings
Book: None. I love reading, but I've never been able to read the same story twice for some reason. My eyes glaze over when I read text I've already read.
Song: Foo Fighters - Best of You
Video Game: Morrowind and Skyrim. I can keep coming back to them, Morrowind because I love the lore and aesthetic, Skyrim because I love the porn mods.
Good selection right there, and I concur with Skyrim being even better with some of the mods (even if sometimes it takes some time to make everything work together).

I've never watched that movie before, maybe I'll give it a watch! (once I... "sail the seas" on my search for it)
Also, really cute images! But I feel like there's something missing... Oh, I know...

Solid choices! (I Still have to play a LOT of the Assassin's Creed games...).

(I feel like I'll have a lot of recommendations to go through after today!).

Morning Slum!

Rescheduled my Flight for later today, figured I'd hang out in Colorado for the weekend, instead. Been spending a lot of time in my Dark Room developing photos for work. It's also been pretty cold here, it was snowing earlier. So, I had to get a new coat, Hoodie wasn't cutting it. I could've swore I left a winter coat here, or maybe a friend borrowed it, since she comes to check in on my place while I'm away.

My phone has been going off with emergency alerts for like the past couple days because of the weather in Texas. On top of that the Steamdeck I left here is bricked. So, I can basically only work, play older stuff on my PC, or hang out on here.
Damn, becareful out there Dubble, and damn sad about that bricked SteamDeck.
There's nothing that can be done?

It was not a detention or anything. It was just an average school day, like monday or friday...just saturday too. Only sunday was free...It was awful.
Oh yeah, and I am talking about whole school, right after kindergarten and until complete graduation.
The moment I went to university it was so much easier in comparison...Thinking about it now, I am boiling with hate ><

I left it plugged in, and the battery leaked. Cleaned a bit, but it had a lot of corrosion, sent some images to Steam and repair shops, the quote for replacement parts and to have it fixed is a tiny bit little lower than just buying a new one. Even buying a broken one for replacement parts and such wouldn't guarantee I had everything I needed. This was an early model anyways, my better version is at my other place. Not a huge deal, but losing money still stings.

Good Morning, Afternoon, or Evening to you all. Today is a busy day for me so I won't be around for a while. Good busy instead of drowning in work related stuff at least. Going to do a backread but might not even be able to finish that before I got to go.

Damn, yeah, then it's not even worth getting it replaced I guess.. 🤔

Damn, where the fuck did you go to school? Even after teacher strikes when there were barely any days off for holidays and having to go well into June we NEVER had it on Saturday. In college they did ONCE. Barely anyone came to class and the profs just did stuff like activities only barely related. That was a year with several bad snowstorms. College was a lot better - didn't have the bullies and wasn't nearly so regimented.

Good Saturday fellow goons!

Morning to you (and all the deviants around) too, always a good start of the day seeing my favorite shadow kitty. And that IS a real great gif.. giving me some ideas even, i might have to dabble a bit more in making gifs soon.

(Shadow) Kitty Question Of The Day!
What's that movie/book/song/videogame that you can go back to again and again and never get tired of?

I am a glutton, i can't decide on ONE singular thing for such questions:

Movies: , , Oscar (and i like both versions, AND the )
Books: 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' and the following 'The Restaurant at the End of the Universe' .. not that i have read them so often that i know them inside out, i don't like reading books too much, but whenever i've got to go to hospital or somehting similiar one of or both those books come along.

I especially love the video to the following one but i'd listen to the song just as much without it

.. and oh so many more. I can listen to many more songs 'on repeat' for what feels like hours before getting tired of them ... i am simple like that, me like song, me bop head, me tap foot, me 'happy' (or at least less gloomy)

Videogame? Thats tougher. I play games i love so much until i start disliking them for how much i know everyting about them.
I guess Fallout New Vegas would be a top choice. I have Master of Orion 2 and Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri installed right now, but although they are old favorites they are more like emergency games in case internet went out for longer and/or Steam acts up.

So, anyone else nervous for no or at least no good reason?
I am nervous to see if the center console display in my car that i fixed myself yesterday will actually last. It's not a critical part but it's been a long time since i soldered something (especially so finicky as there was a chip that needed re-soldering). Worst thing is sunday in a week i'll be driving a few hundred kilometers and be away for a few days, and if it breaks then i'll not be able to do anything about it until i return (again, not critical but extremely annoying if it breaks).
