A bit of give and take for me.

SOME investment feels really good for immersion, but I don't want to do math problems , work out, and chores for 20 hours of a 22 hour play through.
Then again, with no effort or grinding, the game doesn't feel as compelling?

Well, it all comes to balance. It's ok when games want you to put effort into something but not ok if you feel like you are at your second job.

yes a little bit of grinding is good especially if it is worth it

I like a little grind, with M&F I find it hard to really immerse and enjoy. But then, too much grind or mini games I just start skipping or move on to the next game.

Depends on the reward. I usually dislike grindy games, but If the dopamine hit is just right, I wouldn't mind.

I gotta hand it to Monster Hunter; the grind is fun as long as the gameplay is fun along with it, THEN I can appreciate its grind considering I get a reward for doing it multiple times.

Same goes with Sandbox H games, a simple example would be going through a quick replayable scene as a reward (e.a. prositute interaction [a very good one at best]) in order to get by the grind.

A BAD example is games like Gachas (hot take), The grind of getting your Gacha Credits- DAILY mind you, feels very tedious and monotonous. Only to get something that you don't like in the end. Cycle repeats, but you get to do it once a day and get to Roll for your characters once or twice a month for it.

Grinding is not a bad thing, but it has to be done right
"Man of the house" and "The Bum" come to mind
Those are examples of bad grinding

Grinding is fun but when getting older, less and less time is able to being spent on it. So a balance must be found. Also if a game is too grindy people will cheat their way through. For example by editing the cfg files.

I don't want to have to spend three weeks of in-game time doing dishes to raise my mother's affection up high enough that I can now touch her ass. And then another batch of chores before getting to the next stage etc etc etc

Boring AF

I like gameplay. It can make a, well, game feel fun and engaging and make the story or sex scenes feel like something I've earned.

I don't like grinding where it feels like I'm just repeating some otherwise pointless task or process with no real purpose except to pad the game's runtime.

I dont want o grind to hard, a little is worth it but not over done

Really depends game to game for me. There are some games where grinding for materials or loot or whatever it is you need is almost therapeutic, whereas other games it'll legit just feel like a chore and I'll switch off.
Like I've spend hundreds of hours on Terraria over the years and I still find joy exploring new worlds and gathering materials to build NPC towns and so on. Even if the grind isn't necessarily "worth it" in the end sometimes it just feels nice to be playing the game and doing something towards progression I guess.

I like it as long as it feels worth while, say it helps with progress or the game portion is fun. I really dislike it when it feels like its just there to waste my time and pad the gameplay time.
I'd also say if the mini games weren't so often bad or feel lazy with you repeating the exact same one many times, I don't think they would be hated like they are now in AV games.

I absolutely loathe sandbox and prefer choice and visual novel. Especially if the grind is nothing more but to repeat some action in game, to pad it out to milk people. And have no real content, just continuous repetition.

Figuring out how to balance time management in games where you have "needs" to take care of or figuring out the right sequences so your "bars/status" is just right can be fun, but when you have to just repeat the same action over and over and over to grind one currency be it $$ or some "horny point" it is hard to do this the right way to not make it fell like a chore

they wouldnt be as bad if they would either keep the 80 pull 50/50 but only run one character per banner or if they do run two people either make the 80 pulls a guarantee or lower the 80 pulls down to like 60 or 50
