Thanks, I've been playing through the series again starting with 1. Before I started this spree I had only played parts of 1 and 2 on playstation and n64 (might have played a little of OG 3 at the time, can't remember), RE5 Coop on 360, Revelations 1 back when it came out on PC, and the first chapter of Leon on RE6.

A couple years ago I had gotten RE2 Remake, RE4 Remake, RE7, and RE8 gifted to me on Steam, from someone I used to know, but I had never bothered to play them and had decided it was finally time to do so, So when the Steam Winter Sale rolled around I decided to get the rest of the games I was missing on Steam (RE3 Remake, RE5, Revelations 2, though I did not get RE0)

I have played pretty much nothing but Resident Evil lately starting from the beginning, I did 1 HD, RE2R, RE3R, RE4R, Revelations 1 (since it takes place between 4 and 5), RE5, Revelations 2, RE6, RE7, and now RE8

And Yeah, so far I don't think RE8 is too scary, definitely more manageable than 7 which I think the atmosphere is what got me most in 7 besides the jumpscares here and there, mostly from Molds spawning outta thin air in front of me lol.

Whats funny to me is I thought RE7 was more scary/nerve-racking than playing Alien Isolation which was another game I had bought my self years ago and refused to play for the longest time because of what I heard about it, it wasn't until they announced they were making Alien Isolation 2 that I was like, well shit, I guess I have to play the first game now so I can get the second one and ignore it for years

If you haven't the OG RE1-RE2-RE3 are on GoG, and quite playable (might need to find a mod, to make the backgrounds scale), but I recommend at least playing through those once.
OG RE3 is maybe my favorite of the bunch.

If you haven't the OG RE1-RE2-RE3 are on GoG, and quite playable (might need to find a mod, to make the backgrounds scale), but I recommend at least playing through those once.
OG RE3 is maybe my favorite of the bunch.

The RE1 HD is supposed to be pretty much the same as OG1 with maybe a few slight tweaks and updated graphics from what I remember, can't remember how far I ever got on the original on Playstation

The only thing I really remember from OG 2 is fighting the stupid alligator in the sewers, I remember that being awful on the n64 version

As far as 3 I can't remember either way if I ever played that one, it probably would have been at a friend's house if I did

just download psx and a re1 iso, then ya good to go and you get save states too ^^

To be fair, there aren't many ways on LC to reinvest these points into the wider LC economy. Some more gamification could be fun. Just spitballing, but something like users being able to create bounties for certain art, or thoughtful reviews on a certain game, and so on.

Individuals can and have staged competitions for LC. Stick around and display your talents and might catch some scraps.

It's just the nature of the topic that makes it manageable.

RE1MAKE was really good when I played it for the first time. I never played the OG and hate tank controls, so RE1Make was so good for me and I enjoyed everything from it.

What's funny is I tried to use 'Modern' controls setting in RE1HD and I hated it, it was easier for me to deal with original tank controls after the initial get used to it phase of running around in a room, it might have helped though that I vaguely remembered the controls from trying the og

I think part of it is that adding controls settings that weren't designed for the game will most likely make one thing or the other feel awkward, so it's easier to just get accustomed with the basic tank controls
