I have RE1 on steam and it's called 'Resident Evil / Biohazard HD Remaster' there, so probably maybe? I know besides the graphics updates it had a few slight changes on where a couple items were compared to the original

Yeah I can't remember if I ever played 3 or not, if I did it would have been at a friend's because I never owned it, I had RE2 for n64 and OG Resident Evil on ps1, I don't remember if it was Directors cut
Yeah, the one on steam is the Remake.
Hope you give 3 a try at some point then. :p
Mean while, I'll be over here waiting for RE9... Or remake of Code Veronica....

Also I salute you for the love of 3 cuz that r3make was.... yea.

But shoutouts to the STAARS members.

Yeah, I've seen the rumors of 5 also being on the remake block...
Personally hope it's gonna be Code Veronica though, that game needs some help.

And the remake of 3? Yeah... I rather not talk about it...
I like the game alright, but seeing it as a remake is just.... Wrong... :p

I've enjoyed playing through the series and playing the games I missed through out the years more than I thought I would, but once I finish RE8 it's probably going to be a Resident Evil break for me for awhile until a new one gets released since like I said it has been pretty much the only games I have played lately lol. One day though when I feel like playing any of them again I'll potentially check out the OG3 again/for the first time, whatever time it ends up being

I've heard rumors of a 5 remake too I don't really follow news of the series though so I'm not sure how likely it is, but I have been paying attention to it a little more since starting my play through all the mainline games spree
General rule of thumb (ESPECIALLY in the case of Capcom) is to only go off the official word of capcom themselves. Any rumor is just that... A rumor.

Also which REs did you enjoy the most? For me my fav will be RE4 both the original and the Remake. But I've liked all the one's I've played that were mainline. Even 6. I love 6. :geek:

I've enjoyed all of the games as well so it's kinda hard to pick what I enjoyed most, but maybe possibly RE2R and RE4R (never played og4). 5 was more fun back on the 360 doing coop than doing the playthrough on Steam Solo, the Uroboros flamethrower fight is a buggy mess on PC so I said screw it and bought a rocket launcher lol.

It's a tough call but I probably liked RE Rev 1 more than RE Rev 2, even though my RE Rev 1 playthrough was NG+ Infernal since I had played it before so there were some moments that were absolutely soul crushing to get through lol.

If I ever get around to playing one of them again it would probably be RE2R first

For Resident Evil 6 it was an okay game, I absolutely hated all the superman jumping zombies on Leon's campaign though, and the Chris End boss fight was pissing me off, I was playing it on veteran, had practically no ammo, 1 maybe 2 healing items, and Piers was virtually worthless, The majority of the time he would either get knocked down and refuse to get back up (I could not help him up, he would just sit there), his lightning attack would either do no damage to the cocoon, or he would shoot the ground for some dumb reason. It was a lot of running around collecting the scraps of handgun ammo it would occasionally give me from a bomb, and praying that Piers would actually land his shot and help me break the cocoon open so I could stab the boss. I'm not sure how likely I am to give RE6 another playthrough anytime soon lol
You lowkey like me where I play alot of the games on harder difficulties cuz I like the challenge. Lol.

I really liked the Rev series as well and I think it's underrated and deserves to be in the mainline talks too cuz it's kinda one the same timeline of events that happen in the other games. I like rev 2 more tho cuz of all the different situations you get into and it doesn't feel like DS game like REV 1 did, but they are both great games.

I didn't play the OGs too much at first either aside from 2. I started with the newer games first. But 7 and 8 by far are the scariest games to me in that series.

(Aside from those damn regenerators in OG4...):eek::eek:

Lol, I mostly do the higher difficulties just for the achievement, sometimes for the challenge too though. Like Alien Isolation I did that game on the hardest difficulty needed for the difficulty achievement, ended up with 48/50 achievements in one playthrough, One day I'll go back and get the ones I got screwed out of.

I thought the Rev series was alright for what it was though whoever came up with the dodge mechanic in Rev 1 needs to quit the game dev industry, that shit was atrocious and made infernal way harder than it needed to be since dodge seems to only work 5% of the time in that game. I don't really have any complaints with Rev 2 that I can think of off the top of my head, I do remember something was driving me insane but I don't remember what it was right now

Besides the bit I know I've played of 1 and 2 og back when they came out, I hadn't really played much of the games besides RE5 when that came out, played it coop on 360 at a friends house, and playing Rev 1 when it released. So if you don't count the bit of 1 and 2, then 5 and Rev 1 were the first Resident Evil games I played through

I didn't really think any of the games were scary before 7, and that is mostly because all the other games were 3rd person while 7 is first person which makes it a whole other level of immersion. 8 hasn't been too terrible for me yet though I've only played 4 hours of it so far. 7 Was creepy with it being so damn dark all the time and getting jump scared just by enemies spawning because they would pop up out of thin air in front of me, they didn't really seem to hide enemies spawning very well in that game, it was like *pop* here's an enemy for you
Rev 2 definitely had a lot of different annoying lil parts on top of having to control the character that didn't have the gun and you had to either distract them or keep them from getting hurt when you had the gun.

Another annoying part was those one hit kill invisible bug enemies that distorted your screen when they got closer and that buzz sound. 🤢🤮

Rev 1 felt impossible to play and beat on infernal with no upgraded weapons. They really made it to where you HAD to play an easier difficulty just to level up your weapons for infernal. That was insane.

Oh yeah, and Rev 2 having a skill you had to buy to get your Ai team mate to actually shoot their gun if you were playing the non gun character and even then it was almost worthless

Yeah, I do remember the invis bugs now that you mention it, when playing as Barry it would have been a great QoL improvement or even a purchasable skill if they would have left the 'gas' effect on the screen for at least a couple seconds after spotting it as Natalia instead of Spotting it, hoping you are aimming at the right spot since the angle has changed when you swapped back to Barry, Miss, and repeat the process 9 times all while Natalia is yelling at you that it's right there, its left, its up, down, right, circle, triangle

With Rev 1 thankfully I had played it on normal way back when it first came out so I already had some decent upgrades to make my Infernal playthrough manageable, 90% of the time when I died it was because Dodge absolutely refused to work, Like I can't even remember how many times it took me to beat the Charging shell guy in the observation deck because I could not get dodge to work but it was an infuriating amount.
Man you got me weak with remembering how Natalia would just point and you gotta just shoot over there. I definitely cheesed those parts sometimes with the non gun character cuz they couldn't be killed by the bug and only incapacitated. Especially the lil girl, I had ran her into those damn bugs or threw a brick at them.

I pretty much ran through Rev 1 cuz normal was too easy besides the bullshit one shots from enemies or traps that came out before I realized they were traps. They really put jill and chris through some SHIT that time around..... They also had an interesting group of off shoot characters that time around that weren't just waste of slots. They were all interesting in Rev 1 and 2. I do like that lil petite goth chick tagging with Claire, BUT BARRY FOREVER.

Jessica throwing that ass all over Chris had me dead. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: But man that outfit she had was dope too. Can't believe Chris didn't try and hit that.

I had a friend that beat REV 2 before me that got the bad ending and didn't get the ending I got first try. He was actually mad too. I was surprised that he actually got the bad ending cuz it's obvious how to NOT get it. 😂
