I really don't know anything about external gpus. If you want advice on gpus that go inside a case I can help you.

I can page @Xorsm for you, though.

Didn't even know usbs could be sufficient enough for an external gpu of a decent caliber with their transfer speeds.

They can be specifically USB c, but they're normally very expense if we're talking about ones for laptops. If that's what we are talking about anyway, not sure?

I think it's fair to say no corporation has journalistic integrity in the US (or elsewhere in the world, but lets stay on topic). There are people with journalistic integrity, but they almost exclusively work alone. A rare few are attached to some sort of organization and are left alone. Sooner or later though, they will come out with an opinion that runs counter what the advertisers want and they will have the option to shut up or get gone.

This is the weakness of ad supported journalism. It will always serve the interest of the advertiser, not the consumer. It's better than state funded media, as Canada proves. Since then the media will always serve the interest of the state. The only time that the financial incentives and journalist integrity align is when the consumer of the news is the one funding it.

Journalistic standards are non existent because legally they only hurt you. If your journalistic standards are "I heard a rumor" then if you get sued for defamation you only have to prove that you heard a rumor and so followed the journalistic standards for your organization. If your standards are three credible sources (like it used to be) then if the plaintiff can prove you had two sources, you're boned. Since you didn't follow the organizations journalistic standards. An example of this is "the Maddow defense", where in court papers she claimed that nobody took her for a credible source of news and she only gives opinions. So, no standards = no defamation.

I carefully thought about these statements, as several of my closest friends are journalists, and I have some insight into the topic. But after consideration, here's my response.

Somewhat frequently. Last one was 10 days ago. I wouldn't be surprised if there were another sale next weekend. Maybe given the time of year they'll wait until black Friday to do another one.
