What are you doing back here then? Get on up to the front of the thread and just hop in the conversation I promise most of us don't bite. You might be shocked when you meet our local chef, he's one of our more aggressive lurkers and likes to introduce himself to all the newcomers. But once you make it past this light bit of hazing you will find that the members who hang out here are very easy going and more than willing to help answer any questions you have.

There are buttons on the bottom right side of every post.

The "+Quote" button will add that post to your multi-quote collection to be replied to later. Then when you're ready to reply, there's an "Insert Quotes" button you can click.

The "<- Reply" button will put the quote right into your current message. Be careful, because it will put the quoted message wherever you've left your cursor. If you click reply to multiple other posts before publishing your reply, you can reply to multiples.

I assume that at this point anyone coming to the first page is here to tackle the challenge of backreading the whole thread. Cranberry iced tea is my favorite tea, but I've never seen the actual fruit.

Deep dish pizza, specifically Chicago is famous for them. It is basically a pizza with a lot of dough cooked in, well a deep dish.

Oh. That looks hella good. Fluffy dough and creamy filling.

I am from the USA. We have churros which are the same ingredients and fried like bolinho de chuva, although different style:

And before someone says that's a Mexican dish - let's be real, TexMex (food coming from Mexicans in Texas) is American food.

Trivia: in Portugal they're called porra recheada, which is "filled cum" to us brazilians.
I think brazilians start using Portugal's words as "dirty" words here just to fuck with them.

Maybe European pancakes are crepes? That's what I would think of. And Pudding in UK English is practically a catch-all word for food, it's the name for a ton of different dishes that don't have anything obviously in common (Google says it has to do with the cooking method) (vs US where it's a specific kind of dessert).

I thought churros were Spain, not Mexico... Am I wrong about that? Obviously they'd have them in Mexico and the USA, just from the Spanish colonists and immigrants in both countries' histories.

Entirely possible, but by that metric there's no such thing as American food Other than pemmican.

Maybe European pancakes are crepes? That's what I would think of.

Don't know about the rest of Europe, but here pancakes are kinda like softer crepes. Fried thin in a pan, preferably fried with butter. Standard recipe would be:
3 eggs
600 ml milk
250 ml flour
2.5 ml salt
30ml butter, melted
The pancake batter should rest for 10 minutes at least before frying them.
Served with jam f.e. mix of raspberrry and blueberry. One can also in addition have whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

My wife's a cosplayer, so I don't think it because of the character, but something on the lines of "How can these clothes be made that let you go to the bathroom at a con? Where would your put your cellphone? It's easy to take off some layers if you get tired during it?". Hahaha

Buttflaps or diapers?
I have friend who cosplays with his wife. He always did over-the-top stuff, while she's usually and elf or Jedi.
He created a Gundam suit, and made it so the crotch part would unsnap so he could squat over the toilet to do his business.
He didn't make it to the bathroom on the 2nd or 3rd day of a con.
Complete diarrhea sprayed all in the plastic suit. Down his legs, in the boots, dripping out and everything. It was a real disaster.
Now, he dresses up as an elf or Jedi or something similar.

Now, every time he sees someone in an elaborate suit:

Love shaolin soccer, but Kung fu hustle is better. I have grown to really like soccer, but Handegg all the way (on TV in stadium is boring as shit)
