P4 is just another level that has been around for a few months.

What grind? All levels are easy to get without doing any grinding.

Wait do I have to get P1 in order to buy P4? My plan was to skip P1, P2 and P3.

No but some people like to collect trinkets.

P4 farm all the way do it for Science and AI

There is no need to farm for coins, they are easy to get.

I wouldn't say it'll prevent further attacks, but it's a step closer to making their jobs harder and more annoying, meaning the majority of them will give up before really starting.

Go for P1, it's not so much you can't get it in under a week of low-medium activity.
