How do you feel about AAA or similar core game content being pay walled?

Let's simplify it, in my opinion in the already paid game there are 3 extra paid content, the first is that which does not have plot content, it can be equipment, mechanics (non-essential) or even extra missions without plot such as finding treasures, here each one decide if you want them or not, secondly we have the ones that have a plot, but they are not essential to understand the lore, I would like them to be included already, but if it is something extra interesting for a good price apart from the game that adds hours of fun I would like It seems good, now finally the ones that have lore and essential things to understand do not seem good to me, including alternative endings and so on, for example we have in Mass Effect 3 the Leviathan mission, that mission literally talks about the origin of your greatest enemies and how They turned against their masters, it seems like very essential information to me.

There are three aspects to this for me.

1. I'll pay for some games to support the dev however if I've paid for a game I'm out if the dev locks more content behind a paywall.

2. On the flip side if a game is free to play and suddenly I'm locked behind a paywall I'm also out.

3. If I'm playing a great game that has me interested I'll make an in game purchase to support the dev as long as it's not a forced purchase to access more game play. For example paying a one off cost to remove ads (not an ongoing cost) or paying for a cosmetic item.

I'll never pay for a subscription though.

They are great.
I can feed my recycle bin with such games and they provide some use for the ignore button.

I can get behind it if there's a one time payment to unlock all current and future content. But only if that content is side stories or extra characters, not the actual core of the game.

Especially with porn games, I wouldn't know where to even find these games outside of the pirate sites. It's good advertising, but you have to get people to actually want to give you money when it's easier to get the game for free than it is to pay for it. Extras included.

Specific content should never be paywalled. Either the whole game should be under a cost or nothing should.

The Dev is wasting time trying to hinder access instead of focusing on creating great content. If you want supporters, make a great game.
Pirates will pirate. If you're game is worth a damn, it will be leaked and/or cracked. Resistance it futile.
If the game is good enough and you are actually skilled enough to lock it down, there's always someone that will take it as a personal challenge and break it anyway.
I've no problem with timelocks to create the illusion that Patreons are gaining early access to updates while the previous update becomes public. Anything further is more of a warning that the Dev is likely a milker. There is a ton of material out there that is freely accessible and there are too many scummy Devs milking payers, so adding paywalls will more likely destroy credibility rather then generate income and subscribers.

If you mean paywalled against pirates, I won't blame the dev for that.
If paywalled against people who support, then that's dumb.

its the creator's choice as long as they understand the negatives that comes with like less eyes on your product

I don't mean any extras or side content. Just certain games that sometimes side scenes or endings behind a pay wall? I can understand Bonus content or cheats, but endings to a game not so much.
I've hated it since Bioware and Dragon Age. Maybe even the Shadow Broker Content in Mass Effect 2. Though I enjoyed that so much because I love Liara I gladly paid.

Depends if it's paywalled forever or just time gates(patreons get new stuff free users get context x releases afterwards)
I'm a big fan of Time Gates! If you like the game you can support the developer and get the game a little earlier. If you're not in a position to support, you just wait a little longer and get the unredacted game. I think this is a system that is fair to all concerned. I support some Time Gated games and I wait for some others that I don't support.

I dont play those, i think it disrespects the player.

I bought physical copies of most of my games and music when that was the norm.
Then, the model changed to "license to play" instead of owning. Not so happy with that (not going to lie) but also most of the games I buy online are like 20% what they used to cost.
Now, most of the games I play have DLC that you have to buy separately. Year after year, my conscience made me buy the important DLCs as well, or at least wait to get the "complete pack, game of the year" or whatever name they put that has all the major stuff.
Last year I said to myself: this shit stops right now. And I haven't bought any more games that have DLC (other than the ones which have "supporter edition" or cosmetics, or stuff like this).

Now I campaign against this shit model among my gamer friends, and as we tend to buy the same games to play together, it has been quite successful.
As you do, I think it truly disrespects the player. And I'm talking about side content, if it was paywalled core content I'd be pissed.

I've never even seen a game like that personally, could you guys please give me some examples?

I don't care if something behind a paywall. It's their game. Some AAA OFFLINE games even have mod protection. I'll just note the dev and avoid them in the future.

However, and this is something that I eventually say in EVERY site like this one... usually pissing people off, sad to say.

This is a Pirate site. We are Criminals in the eyes of the law. We are here to steal the dev's shit!

So anyone on a pirate site actually taking the dev's side about pirate protections, paywall, etc... is like a member of a heist crew taking the side of the security guards and telling their fellow thieves to get a job! But... we don't want a job. We are here to steal the dev's shit.

You may want to romanticize what we are doing (free advertising, etc...). But if we're honest with each other, and ourselves...

...Third time:

We... are here... to steal... the dev's... shit. WHY would anyone here be happy that the dev has paywalls, security measures, etc..?

I hope I don't piss too many people off... but c'mon...

Excuse me, but I'm stealing nothing from no one. I download the games either from the devs own thread or from their site once they become publicly available.
As for those games that are actually brought from high seas, they are censored, so I don't care for them.

You know I hate it but what can you do, everything is getting to expensive and publishers/shareholders only care about profits. 🤷‍♂️

Anyway gamers have voted with their wallets and it's a lost cause.

I'm reminded of this old meme and it has only gotten worse.
