Yep, we can not like it, but that isn't really relevant. It's his choice.
If we are a subscriber we can discontinue support, that's about the extent of our power - I did this when Our Island was discontinued (he says he may return to it in the future, and I'll consider resubscribing in the future). If however the dev for Family Faring is looking to expand support to those not only there for pre-pubescent girls, he may end up gaining a lot more than he loses. Or maybe not. Who knows? Everything has a risk. It's all about deciding what risks you are willing to accept for the possible reward.

Yeah reminds me when Heroes was canceled after a cliffhangar back in 2010. Pissed me off to the point I rage quit all broadcast TV at around the same time broadcasts were going digital anyway and haven't went back since (same 50" TV since it still works, 1080p but no digital tuner in it, only gets used to watch movies from Piratebay or Rarbg now if not gaming on it). And like you said considering Netflix is even more fickle I haven't even had a subscription in ages, so long ago non-porno streaming wasn't a thing yet and instead I got my movies as physical discs in the mail. And if everyone did the same and quit giving them money no matter what they do maybe things would change.

Depending on where he is that wouldn't be a good legal defense, sadly. And yeah, this would probably happen less often if more people let their wallets voice their displeasure (ie dropped to 0 subs after the changes, I auto unsubbed the month after the de-loli annoucement, every last one of my $60 in subs has either those and/or incest, I don't sub to vanilla, to me that's like paying for free porn).

This is anecdotal as fuck but ever since I started playing AVNs I lost all interest in pretty much all other forms of porn. If anything these types of games are probably making people not search for the real stuff.

That's what I tend to think too, and the anti-loli countries are just making the ****s come out of their closets and basements and go hunt for the real thing when they shut down their victimless loli cartoon outlets, but as usual the ones in charge there tend to threaten and accuse if you even propose that argument on why such counterproductive laws should be repealed.

I'm not sure, after seeing preview images posted on the devs SS that was enough to make me unsub and unfollow. I wouldn't care even if they were actually 10-12yo and said so in dialog One-Summer-In-Loliwood style, 10-12yo's with gigantism (scroll up to see a "loli" bigger than her middle-aged dad) just does nothing for me.

But that asks a question, why subscribestar? If you want to reach a broader audience, make another big boobed roomate VN, monetize it via patreon and call it a day. Instead of building the game with premise of having lolis, financing it with the most lenient site but... halfway through the project just booting the original idea :/. It just feels bad.
Characters themselves look unnatural, dynamic between then won't make sense either.
Extremely disappointing.

Yeah if you want fame AVNs are the wrong choice anyway. They've been around for over 20 years but I never heard of them before 2016 and most still haven't. I just happen to find Imaginarium (DK's first, got into it even though it's shit by 2024 standards) while browsing porno clips (yes, people screen capture animated 3D cartoons and upload them on their channels on tube sites like Pornhub, who knew?). Fame/wide exposure = make an actual game with no porn at all but still doesn't suck and put it on Steam and spam it on every social media site. Just a"boring" story with nothing to do but reading and looking at pictures will limit exposure, nudity even more so, nude lolis even more still. It doesn't take a mensa member to know that without the need to research it (always a wise decision when time/money is on the line). Most AVNs are passion projects or hobbies anyway, fame/money isn't the goal (nor should it be, I'll go play Sims 4 with loli mods or something else from EA or some other billion-dollar company that's monetized to hell if I want that).

Yeah it's getting kinda obvious the reason he gave was just a flatout lie and the real reason was mainly a legal liability one since he probably lives in one of those shitty countries. And frankly at this point the law is already broken even with the changes, the internet is practically forever once released (well 20 or so years on average if the Internet Archive doesn't grab it). He should have just abandoned it instead of trying to mislead (former) subs, as even with just the legal standpoint it still draws attention and it doesn't take much curiosity/searching on what the AVN looked like in earlier versions. At least when abandoned over time people tend to forget it exists.
