Yep, we can not like it, but that isn't really relevant. It's his choice.
If we are a subscriber we can discontinue support, that's about the extent of our power - I did this when Our Island was discontinued (he says he may return to it in the future, and I'll consider resubscribing in the future). If however the dev for Family Faring is looking to expand support to those not only there for pre-pubescent girls, he may end up gaining a lot more than he loses. Or maybe not. Who knows? Everything has a risk. It's all about deciding what risks you are willing to accept for the possible reward.
Over the course of my life I've seen many things (games, TV shows, comics, you name it) cancelled or changed that I wish hadn't been, but I don't have any real say in whether it happens or not. Netflix (for example) is notorious for inexplicable cancellations. But whether you understand it, or agree with it, or not, getting worked up about it is pointless.
