He doomed his sister (who was a hot young girl with her own womanly needs BTW) to live without a partner. Than he married off his beloved woman to some unlucky asshole. He almost lost her and his own daughter's sight when they moved to another country. He felt hardship himself by bringing up his daughters without a woman in the house (may be it is because of that Ashley became a lesbian). And only by pure chance and luck they reconnected with Samantha.

You can spent any amount of persuasion, I will never believe that the MC did everything right. For me it is the worst wrong decision of the MC since Tremolo stormed out of Maya's room when Josy suddenly arrived in BaDIK.

at least in the depths of my soul I do not experience strong hostility towards the MC, as it happens with me in the MC from VN "reunion" - and this means something, I trust myself.
I'm sure the reason why the MC had to "let Samantha go to the will of the waves" sooner or later will be explained in detail.

I do not either. It's the Dev's decision. I rather feel sorry for Samantha. I'm currently at the point when in the past the MC goes whoring and young Samantha almost begs him to stay with her. She almost tells him openly that she sees him rather as the partner, not merely as a brother. She almost humiliates herself.

Very strange that he doesn't see these signals. Actually he DOES see and even comments on this but doesn't do anything to get closer. It almost looks like he rejects her:

In the present when he eventually told her the truth she had all time during both conversations in the morning and afternoon such incredibly sad eyes that it was almost tragic. It's not difficult to understand why. It's all too hard to take lightheartedly.

I wouldn't be so sure. It's a game and the Devs usually make decisions based on what they think would be better for interesting twists of the story and they are not always getting it right. I think this time Westy overdid this.
Still, this story is rather linear and wholesome in comparison to TG with all those silly twists for the sake of twists.

We have a kind of logical inconsistency here. If Samantha forgot that her brother was her partner, then she could not relate to her brother. But if she treated it, it means telling, that is, the author, either ducked, convincing the reader that his sister forgot, or he himself overlooked such an important point. So to speak some sort of Freudian slip.
Either the author subtly hints that the sister, to put it mildly, lied, that she forgot. But then the new question is - why did the sister deceive?

Well, as our colleague suggested

perhaps Ryley was not originally intended to the MC's daughter, and making her so was just Westy giving his audience more of what they want; if step-incest is not real incest, then by extension nieces and cousins are boring, and inbreeding is even realer incest,

For me it looks like plausible explanation. Still it doesn't make sense why the MC behaves like an asshole to Samantha when fucking the bar girl almost in front of her and than lying to her when they stop at the bar girl's place on the way home that he wouldn't fuck her the second time ("just want to say good bye") and still ending up fucking her.
I mean, I can accept the Samantha's amnesia for the sake of the story and even the MC not making it up with her later on. But that kind of behavior just makes him less trustworthy person.

Remember that Samantha had feelings for the MC long before the accident. She wasn't really aware of those feelings and it mainly manifested as jealousy towards Kate and resentment towards the MC for leaving. So there's no need for her to have gotten her memories back and lied about it, for her to feel jealous and possessive towards the MC; that was just normal for her. Plus the pregnancy hormones were probably intensifying those feelings.

you are in vain. very in vain. stories like this are good brain training. teaches a person to ask questions and seek answers. and think. a deep and thoughtful plot distinguishes a good VN, which can be mistaken for a literary creation with a deep meaning, from cheap mindless porn. porn once looked and can be erased. and a good book - sooner or later, but you will want to re-read, or even take fragments from it for quoting. I consider "proud father" to be specific, but good literature, suitable for reflection.

or as a scenario option - in a dream she had flashbacks about sex with her brother, but after sleep she usually forgot about them and did not attach importance to taking them for "just dreams" and therefore secret love superimposed on flashbacks in total gave changes in her character, when she treated (unconsciously) her brother as a partner, and then everything becomes logically justified. that is, some time after the accident, she had flashbacks in a dream, but then she forgot about them, and then when her brother showed her a photo, she remembered the flashbacks that she took for strange dreams.

Again, you completely miss out the point that I mainly talking not about Samantha's feelings (though that plot twist also looks very awkward) but about the MC's attitude to her because he knows about her hidden deep feelings but do not care to understand them or at least to spare them (just fucking other girls in front of her while she has the amnesia and very confused).

I would not compare Proud Father with a piece of well thought literary work. Some AVNs like Haley's Story or Melody can approach that standard but most of them are written as they go, and the difference is that the author of an AVN may change the plot depending on what the supporting fan base on Patreon and other platforms is longing for. In this case apparently deciding (in the middle of development) that most of the main girls are blood related to the MC, but not being able to provide a plausible justification for that.
