It’s been 3 years.
3 years of uncertainty, setbacks, and honestly… a full rollercoaster of emotions behind the scenes. There were moments this project could’ve died more than once. But it didn’t.
Now, I finally have full ownership of The Spellbook — and like I said before: I’m finishing this game.

This update marks a real turning point:
~500 new renders
~10,000 words of new content
Full transition to Ren’Py
Music and SFX now starting to get implemented

No animations yet,
I focused on rebuilding the core properly and pushing real content forward.
What comes next will build on this foundation. The game will have bugs... Please report them on discord or here.
I’ve been grinding hard for the past 5 months to make this happen.
And for the first time in a long time… things are moving the way they should.

I have inside info about this game and it became abandoned because the two devs that was working on it started to argue about how to go forward, one of the dev that pushed most of the things quite and the one left, the asshole is now pushing it, if you play it you should notice when the renders become worse for example, most of the ending part after they leave the island and when he fucks that green thing is new scenes and renders made by a new dev.
The dev that left is working with Taboo with the babysitter game now.
So it was not about ego, they where making bank on this game but two different people with different opinions and values crush what could have been a real awesome game.
