Hey folks, hope you are all OK.

I was in a house fire today. Not mine but my neighbours behind me, a bungalow and half a house gone.

Got treated for smoke inhalation after going in them both to make sure they were clear. Good gob I did cuz there was one person in one trying to put it out with a garden hose.

Well atleast I get a day off work. But I feel so bad the bungalow because it didnt start in their house. Suspected arson from a bad break up/argument.

Served as a voluntary fireman years ago and yes, house fires can be extremely dangerous, and unexpected and incredibly hazardous stuff can happen (backdrafts, or every physics phenomenon involving lack of oxygen/ sudden comburant burst..)

I remember some stuff from collage that covered that. Told all the attached neighbours to close all the doors incase it spreads to slow it down

My neighbours bathroom windo combusted but we got there with buckets of water befor it could spread. That probably stopped the whole terrest house going up.

Was funny there is a guy and we hate each other and we were the ones with the buckets. We hugged it out at the end and said good job to each other.

Shame we couldn't save the bungalow. Dont know the state of the house. But once my neighbours place started to go up i had to shift my priorities.

We were evacuated so after the ems cleared me and my CO levels were deemed acceptable i got my meds out of the house and some food for the dog.

Now staying at my uncles

No. they were already out thank god and it was the 2 young teens that were being sensible. The dad or stepdad kept trying to go back in.

Glad they were smart And stopped it. The house owner though. Idiot. Tbh i think he was trying to save face. Thinknit was him who started the fire. Kept yelling help call fire over and over while not leaving. Even we had to drag him out.

That's just speculation though. I don't know that for sure.

We will find out one the police do the statements. And the dogs go over it. But i over heard them say that someone said that the fire started in the kitchen. I was in both kitchens and neither was in fire when I was in them. Just smoke. So when I over hear that I suspect lieing.
