Since it's July 5, I'd like to ask what the Fourth of July celebrations are like. Do they just happen on that day, and then everything goes back to normal? Because in my country, the holiday is on September 18th; we celebrate starting at the beginning of September, and the week that includes the 18th is a full celebration. We usually get the 17th and 19th off (sometimes just one, sometimes both), and if it falls near a weekend, we basically get the whole week off.

I think it was once Tuesday the 17th, Wednesday the 18th, and Thursday the 19th, and since only Friday and Monday were left—and they were so close to the weekend—they gave us those days off.

Finally home from a weeks vacation. Hope everyone have had a great weekend!
I've never heard anyone be happy to be home from vacation.

Well normally you get all the locals on the block, or your nearest family, have the kids light off 200-1k in fireworks, drink a lot of beer, eat bbq ideally franks and burgers with cheese and the like. Maybe have some 3 color jelly cake, or apple pie, etc. And everyone else sort of does this as well. Some people also go watch the local baseball team and get some free t-shirts or the like if lucky, in the case caramel corn called cracker jacks is eaten as well as peanuts, also lots of beer and hot dogs. This is generally what people do, if your under 18 you also sometimes get in for free to say baseball games on that day, but it verries. We often don't get the day off, so it's sort of something you do when you get home.

Low-key just spent like 20 minutes hyping myself up to talk in here so like hi! Hope everyone had good times yesterday.
Mine was pretty good, shame I burned my self making pasta and wasted like half of it. Still I enjoyed watching the fire works. Sadly the grocery store was out of all kosher wieners, so I had to go without. Typical for this time, was out of stock for like 2~ weeks now.
