discussion Your thoughts on mini games in games?

Personally, I don't like these mini-games.
I'd much rather play a romance game that just sweeps me away.

Is it fun or is it a chore? With a porn game, grinding is like hunting. You're earning something, making progress. If it's done well. If it's done poorly, you're trying to get somewhere and walls keep popping up in front of you.

I have a very bad attitude. If these mini-games can't be skipped, then I'm highly likely to blacklist such a project and try to forget about it forever. Mini-games, as a rule, only distract from the main plot of the game, turning into a little pleasant forcing, nothing more.

I lean more toward your opinion if I'm there for a plot. Maybe a one-time minigame that's thematic and fits the vibe. I know I've mentioned Eternum a lot, but there's a couple places where it goes from VN to a point/click treasure hunt. Now it FELT like a minigame within the game, but a good one. I'm much more minigame tolerant if the game is more sandbox.

If they're in the game and they're not ass I don't mind them. If they start to drag on, aren't fun, are convoluted, or something else it just gets on my nerves

They are the pause between the fap scenes.

There is a nice game called "My dystopian robot gf" that tried its best to make it entertaining (the sexy scenes and story are good too)

Ehh, if they are easy mini games I don't mind.
If they are harder or more annoying to deal with, I hope they are skippable.

Its just a redundancy in every sense. Ifthe mini games is mostly math question, then its a though luck when you have two diffrent way of how to calculate math

I almost allways skip minigames when given the choice, with some exceptions that managed to make some fun minigames ( but this is very rare in this genre imo).

Count me in the usually skip group, if they are interesting or fun I may spend a bit of time on it until I get bored.

In the past I would say I don't care for them but recently picked up Yakuza 0 and been playing some of those minigames like crazy.

NSFW wise idrk, they're pretty rare to the point I don't mind them when they come up but none are exactly memorable either.

Nothing to kill the mood like a pointless clicker minigame but actual minigames in the downtime can be fun I think
