For me it's a mix of reasons, sometimes I really enjoy the story and seeing how everything slowly develops while I get immersed in the character, sometimes the art style pulls me in and I just want to see everything the game has to offer, sometimes the game play is really fun and interesting, sometimes I just like a certain theme or fetish in the game that's not prevalent in a lot of other places and sometimes it's just nice to sit down and play through an interesting story for a little while on my time off.

initially because it was something new that seemingly combined two things i already enjoyed. recently though it's just another way to waste time while i wait for the ole' reaper

Interactivity counts for a lot, as does a narrative buildup. Modern porn largely lacks narrative or the pretense of intimacy.

I guess I am addicted to the dopamine it gives me. I hate always going back and playing these games, but I find myself helpless, especially when the games evolves a fetish of mine then I will certainly play at one point.
