discussion Which game would you give the crown?

There's a lot of good games out there and I've played a lot myself but I'm curious at what everyone else thinks is the GOAT

Personally I find it hard to pick a number one but I'd probably go something like this for my top 5:

1. Timestamps games (Amazing games, good renders, awesome story)
2. Being a DiK (Probably one of the more popular games but popular for a reason)
3. No More Money (I enjoy the story in this one, very well wrote)
4. Young Again (Another well done story)
5. The Guardian (Darker storyline at parts but one of my personal favourites)

This is the first time I see a thread like this that doesn't talk about SSP, I'm surprised
But to try to be more diverse, for me the best would be Ravenous because I love the story, or maybe Oh Daddy

Dating my Daughter was one of the first adult VN's I played, I enjoyed it at the time but felt it dragged out a bit after a while

It took forever but they finally finished it. They even did a "what if" thing too.

I think at the time I found games that let you explore free roam city's and houses etc so I fell away from the games that where linear stories at the time, I may go back and finish it one day.

Ravenous is a good game! Haven't played Oh daddy yet, will need to check it out when I eventually get Mem+

Are we talking contemporary? Or are we including classic Japanese VNs? One of the most memorable for me was Season of the Sakura, and also Divi-Dead was the game that really got me into VN style games. If we are talking more contemporary, I'd say Acting Lessons from Pink, Man of the House by Faerun for a more sandbox type, and I'd also highly rate City of Broken Dreamers by Philly. Really, there are a ton of good ones out there, just sometimes hard to find them with the 9 bazillion garbage ones.

Just looking for personal opinion of people to be honest and maybe some new suggestions to play, I tried to play city of broken dreamers but never got into it, seen a few people recommend that one so maybe need to give it another try

If you haven't played his previous game, it's not bad either, and is 100% complete. Depraved Awakening - got a real detective noire thing going on in that one.
