discussion Which do you Prefer Desert Stalker or Hot Sands of Antarctica?

While qualitywise the DS has an edge with ambient music etc, I marginally prefer Antarctica because of the Twins. Just love these characters

Do the twins even have content? Last time i played it there wasnt any except them stripping for you in one scene.

AFAIR, they gave the MC a couple of BJs and also getting close to playing with each other
Although, it's not about the amount of lewd scenes but the dynamics. Their banter and joke exchange is marvelous.
In some games all the girls jump on the MCs dick immediately but these are still boring AF. (Though the so called slow burn is also rarely implemented properly).

Desert Stalker for now.
The main story and backdrop(the apocalypse) are much more interesting.
Though with recent updates, we get more main story content for Hot Sands of Antarctica and its starting to get quite good, comparable to Desert Stalker.

Desert Stalker feels more like Fallout while Hot Sands of Antarctica gave me Mad Max vibes.

both got their charm, DS is faster on production and content wise tho, but i guess we should be glad hot sands dev returned back and stick with game after he abandon it initially even tho lately story goes all over the new places.

I played both and I can say that desert stalker is better in all aspects (for me). I specially love the character designs of the wife and daughters in desert stalker but the twins in HSOA is pretty hot too.

They are both great, but I think my preference has to go to Desert Stalker. I can never get enough of Ain.

Very true ... however if Hot Sands has more updates is it possible to give atleast story wise Stalker a run for it's money? I am not sure it could with graphics and animation.

You mentioned in your thread post that Hot Sands was still much more vague than Desert Stalker. That there is probably why it will stay inferior. A classic writing issue is using mystery for mystery's sake - on face value, it makes the plot and overall narrative way easier to write because you don't strictly need to plan too far ahead, but you sacrifice the pacing.

DS is also much more focused on the character stories and fleshes them out despite the overall plot not being clear, so the mystery of its plot and world act as background flavor to the world rather than the vague direction of the player's decisions. You don't really need to know the history of how the neo-Egyptian community and Mad Max-like bandits came to be from present day, or how mysterious artifacts might make the world more hospitable. Instead, you make decisions of the very present challenge of your daughter's Stalker initiation, or deciding what to do with a captured Harlequin-like bandit leader.
