discussion Which do you Prefer Desert Stalker or Hot Sands of Antarctica?

Just played through Hot Sands.
Was pleasantly surprised. Have some flaws - but an overall enjoyable play.
Good renders.

Desert Stalker does however take the win from me too.

Dessert Stalker for me. I like the characters and in my eyes i think the renders for DS is a lil better

Desert Stalker, HSA has good aspects which make it very similar to DS, but i'd say its still the lesser version, DS does atmosphere really well, especially in the Zone sections later on like it is both a porn game but then its also a really good atmospheric game as well

Desert Stalker is the original. It's a masterpiece. Hot Sands of Antartica is good, but it'll never outgrow the shadow of Desert Stalker.

The premise is similar. Male mc is a warrior for a feudal state in post apocalypse earth. He is allowed to have a harem. Renders are mid and has far less content than Desert Stalker.

While qualitywise the DS has an edge with ambient music etc, I marginally prefer Antarctica because of the Twins. Just love these characters

But I think Hot Sand is a little better.

Five reasons:
- I'm not a huge fan of sandbox games. But thankfully that's not so bad in Desert Stalker.
- I think the sex scenes in Hot Sand are better. What always bothered me about Desert Stalker is that the angles of the sex scenes aren't always good..
- The save previews in Desert Stalker are just too small. If you want to load a certain scene, you can hardly see it in the previews.
- Even though Desert Stalker already has a lot of blood, the scenes in Hot Sand are even more explicit, brutal and merciless.
- Hot Sand has twins

Just my humble opinion.

Desert stalker isnt a sandbox despite having the tag. You can only go to locations on the map when the story and narrative lets you. The opposite of a sandbox really.
