Currently, The Headmaster is one I've been following for a few years that gets regular updates.

I'd love for Summertime Saga to get an update, but at this point I just consider it abandoned.

There are several candidates.

Girl Life is probably number 1.
AWAM, but the updates are soooo slow. At least the game progresses unlike candidate number 3.
Female Agent, possibly even worse update-wise than AWAM. Looks like the dev is stopping progress on the story to go and rejig prologue stuff. I love the Bangkok part of the game.

Not sure why since I usually don't go for the 2D games, but I was partial to Summertime Saga as well. At least early on. Got kind of annoying and I stopped watching for updates.
