What would a dev have to do in a new update to make you stop playing a really good game?

Breaking the saves will make me move on real quick, it's no big deal if it's early in the game's life, but if it happens anywhere more than like 5 minutes of skipping to get past, I'll pass till the game is completed.

Changing the plot half way, by introducing monsters for instance.

1. Make the LI obese or ugly.
2. Make the MC gay or bi.
3. Insert non-skippable mini-games.
4. Destroy the ability to use old saves and make new ones.

Well, a lot of things could be done, not completely out of the ordinary seeing devs shooting themselves at their own foot

Just do what that motherfucker who created defending lydia collier does and make a really short update. I stoped to care about the games update for a really long time so he could actually deliver content the next time that i played. The game rarely receives anything slightly relevant or that makes you want to play

microtransactions, or paywalling a previously free game. i will never be in support of this. its bad enough we have microtransactions in triple A full priced games we dont need this shit in adult games too.

I haven't run into this situation but... I guess if the game was advertised as not ever having forced NTR or any other tag I'm not fond of, and they suddenly included it in the game... I am 99% sure I would drop it. Games are supposed to be fun to play, if it's not fun for me to play it, I simply won't.

What happens more often is that the content is just not to my liking for one mundane reason or another and I notice as I play it and just drop it. One example was At Home Again. Game just bored me with blue balling and text walls.

Announce that they stopped working on the game.....

Ruin the writing and characters. I don't have an example, but if I was playinga slow burn type of game and suddenly MC and love interest all of a sudden fuck in the 4th update. I'd be like WTF. OH OH OH Or if they randomly just start adding new characters every update without fleshing out each other one first

Moving it to an online game would defiantly do me in.

Adds a "controversial" tag when it isn't something planned in the beginning.

Changing the character's appearance, for example, LOLIS who become shrunken adults would already be a reason, THAMAR is a good example, abandon the game if that's the case, like Early Love and others.
