Oh god there's so much! I've been playing adult games for maybe a decade now. I've becomes ridiculously picky to the point that games I used to enjoy feel like complete garbage now. I'm now at a point that I have to force myself to leg go of some of my nitpicks otherwise I just can't find new games to play, and even when I do, most have aspects that I have no ignore or overcome in some way. Here's a "brief" list:
- The "bitchy older sister" archetype
- Femdom that comes across as abusive
- Too much lesbian content
- The protagonist explaining that he's into girl on girl because he's a dude
- Overly perverted and/or creepy protagonists
- Laggy games (I have potato)
- Certain anime troupe (especially the "Kya! Pervert" thing)
- Love interests who basically start by proclaiming they want a boyfriend, but won't date the protagonist.
- Introducing outside elements or characters into a story to force a relationship to progress faster
- Having incest relationships start off screen
- Slutty loli characters
- Making "the protag is stupid" jokes
- Sandbox games where half the shit says "in development", just don't add the option in yet. It makes your game feel empty.
- Having to make permanent choices between two LIs.
- Knowing that a game is intricately designed to force the player to play multiple times
- Games that would benefit greatly from a WT mod but doesn't have one.
- A protag who comes across as "whiny"
- Overly "doomer"
- When a game uses too much humor to the point nothing else matters
