I usually play a game and delete it, and long times between updates makes me forget either playing the game or where I am. Some games I do the save at the developer's end point, other times I just use the last autosave to continue.
I would really like to see renpy develop to the point where it is easy to add new content to the initial download. Downloading 5-10GB or more for a 2 week update, and then redownloading again 2 weeks later is just annoying. Something like a CH1.rpa, CH2.rpa, etc that can just be lumped together to update the game.
Because few developers use the update process, and the fact that I delete the games when finished anyway, the longer time between updates with a lot of added content is better for me, but still sucks to try to download large files for every update.
