Normal update around 3month

A well documented one so I can see if it's worth downloading a smaller update or if I should wait for a few more

If I'm paying, I want fast updates with tons of content. Because I'm unreasonable.

If I'm not paying, I don't get an opinion.

but that encourages lots of small meaningless updates. slower 2-3 month updates seem to be best. every 6 months means you actually get a lot of abandoned projects at that pace.

Can't fault you for honesty and I can't say I disagree either, particularly from those devs that are making 5k+ a month on the game.

I'd usually want like a hour/couple hours per update, doesn't matter how long really if the added content is substantial

To be more reasonable, given the outlined options, I'd go with "normal". I'd like to see minimally an hour worth of game play for my rabid 3 month wait.

As long as it's on that game play to wait ratio, anythings fine. 6+ month just has the problem of losing interest in coming back to the game. It has to be pretty amazing.

Slow update, as long as the waiting is worth it. Waiting 4 months for, like, 30 minutes-1h of content isn't worth it

Slow update. Fast updates also usually have bad writing, just stream of consciousness.

Slow updates often comes with a lot of content, depending on the dev. I've seen devs who spend 3 months and only deliver 10-15 minutes of game time, that's ridiculous. Even if you gave an year to these guys, they wouldn't deliver, because at this point they're just milking whatever amount they make on their patreon/subscribestar. Or they just do the game on the weekends as a hobby, but I won't pay for your hobby

That's right, there's nothing more disappointing than waiting for so long and it ends so quickly.

Fast/quick updates are the best. If you want to wait 3 months and get a big update you can or you can play smaller updates more regularly.

Games with large/slow updates almost always end up being small slow updates. Or you get stuff like release 2.33.r.se.34.-1 and have no idea wtf it is.

i prefer constant update with a good amount so lets say around 1 month for 1ish hour play

Just need updates few times a year but they must be large. I like to replay the games anyways so some time gap is nice

Given the number of available games I think substantial updates are far better than tons of disapponting mini updates.

slow updates since it allows the creators to work out the kinks, frequent Updates are usually rushed and tend to cause more problems that require further updates to fix said rushed out updates, slowing down or ignoring much needed fixes for other parts of the game.
