I like Ren'py most and unreal engine next. RPGmaker can be great but often are very grindy. Only game on unity that I have played that was pretty flawless to use was Long story short. Rest of the unity games IMO are not very user friendly.

If it's VN - Ren'py 100%
For anything else: it doesn't really matter.

I believe the Ren'py game engine is the cleanest. Unreal engine images seem to be blurry and the games clunky, just my opinion.

renpy easily. if it's rpgm, i'll immediately skip, except for NLT's stuff

and unity? i'll usually skip that too.

idk why anyone would wanna do anything but renpy if it's a VN. it's got all the features you'd need

Ren'Py I think is the most user friendly, Unity for me is too clunky smh.

Personally I'm a big fan of Ren'Py and RPGM

I've played many games using each engine.
It seems like the main ones are Ren'py, RPG maker, and Unity.
I actually really like Ren'py games the most but I'm curious what other people think.
Dad and renpy no contest. Unity is good too. Not a fan of rpgmaker

If it's a VN then renpy, easy to extract resources, change variables and read through scripts to figure out how to see all the content there is. I guess it's also a lot easier on modders.

Anything except RPGM, boils my piss having to use the keyboard when I should be using my hands for something else, lol

I like renpy. But it can get awfully clicky if there is a lot of story and few decisions. html can be good if the developer has spent a lot of time working on the ui.

I usually look at games using renpy. I used to dislike rpgmaker, but after seeing some of the things people can do with it I don't mind it as much.
