hand-drawn is my favorite if done well but the downside is it takes way too long to generate content for it given the work involved

3dcg is my go to now a days, the rest definitely have their place and when done well are great however some really fit specific types of content as well.

Gotta be boring and say the same as the majority : good (and consistent) art trumps specific method. And generic renders gets boring.

Actually, I'm at the point where I limit the number of HoneySelect-ish games I play, because I kind of get burned out on the look of them. Even if the characters might be made to look different, many dev's use the standard poses or very small variations of them.
Even Eternum, a high-effort game that I dearly love, have at least a few renders where I immediately feel that I have seen this pose about a hundred times before.
DAZ of course can fall victim to this too. Sometimes it might seem like half of all the female characters must be related when one looks at the faces. One game that imho really avoids this in a good way and make the characters look individual is Photo Hunt, where I would almost say that the artist have managed to push the faces slightly towards the cartoonish but without going to far. Or frased in another way, the features of the characters looks a bit like if they were drawn by a cartoon artist, with some features very slighly exaggerated. In a good way. I really hope the artist/s for Photo Hunt continues with many more games.
+1 for Photo Hunt.

Summertime Saga is a good for the hand drawn lovers.

What I truly find unique is each creator's take on the same model example Lisa from BB and then seeing her in College Life as a redhead.

At the end of the day I think liking the art is heavily influenced by the writing and char development the author puts into his work for a particular model.

Hand drawn. You end up with the most unique-looking games.

What artificial intelligence is doing is impressive, people with little artistic ability can take decent images and talented people do impressive things.

I hope to see many games with these tools in the future, which even if we don't want them to, will change our world forever.

For me 3Dcg all the way. I think 2D art and even AI art have their places, and all art styles can look good or bad, but 3Dcg just seems the most consistent to me in terms of quality.

I like the looks of 3DCG personally, it looks somewhat realistic and can still be made into a more artistic style depending on the look the developer is going for.
AI is promising but it's not as easy to get as predictable results, for now.

Personally I don't have a preference as long as it's not real porn, and it fits the game.

Though with A.I tools and images it seems to be hit or miss, but offers a faster method.

Cartoon ones maybe because I can get with "bad" art, but I can't with the uncanny valley that I get with poor Daz 3d

for me is better DAZ 3D, and Koikatu

almost all kind of 3dcg

I depends how it's done. Something like Summer Time Saga or High School Days are great 2dcg games. I do tend to stick to 3dcg games for the most part though.

depends on source for me if the source is a anime I prefer cartoon style
but if it's just a AVN I like it to be more realistic.

Although I don't mind cartoony designs.,the more realistic the better for me.

depends on quality, Daz artists are getting really good these days but there's something charming about great hand drawn art

Probably realistic for me, cartoon-ish has such a wide range of quality and when they miss, it misses hard

I think it depends on the type of game, but in general I like a good game with 2d art, but 3dcg games also have their merits, like making animations should be easier in daz than drawing frame by frame.

Provided that the art style is good, I generally prefer the cartoon-ish look. It has a certain feel to it that is less plastic/"off" than realistic 3d models.
