Not a fan of "hand made" vn's much more perfer a more life like vn's tho have used a few "hand made" for the job.

Hand-drawn is definitely the best style in my opinion because the details are very noticeable, but I don't leave out the classic 3DCG when done very well

I think the challenge comes down to does the person making the game have a style that they are shooting for/ want for their game or are they just using whatever they think will be cheapest/easiest. I think the biggest problem of AI art, aside from the rampant theft problem inherent in training an AI data set, is that the vast majority of people are using it because they think it will be easy/low effort, so their games look low effort. Same, though, with a large selection of KK games or HS games, or even a lot of Daz games.
very much agree with what you say

Decent art can make or break a game. Move away from sandboxes and embrace the story. 3dcg is generally best.

3DCG is my personal favorite, but I have enjoyed games using other art styles as well. The key for me is the execution. You can make horrible 3DCG art just as you can create beautiful 2D art.

In general really well made 3d visuals made in DAZ, Octane or Blender. HS games are fine I guess but most devs pick the same MC model for some reason... "Cohabitation" was ok but am excited for "Live in corruption" looks much better.

Which art styles do you prefer in games? If the poll doesn't cover it please explain below.
I like more simply drawn anime/cartoon styles. Think webtoon vs manga. If there are too many details I spend too much time staring at the lines and lose track of the plot.

3dcg works the best to me for most games. Hand Drawn is a close second, and can be a lot more unique looking too.

The only style that never appealed to me is the Honey Select renders. I even tried playing some games but I just can't, I think it's so ugly. Funnily enough,I used to play HS back in it's primordial days

It looks like poll is mostly towards 3d and hand drawn which I generally agree with as long as it's well done and proportions aren't wild and crazy

I'm not a fan of the anime/manga style games because all the models end up looking the same--just with different color palettes.

I do not have a favorite. I have enjoyed each style. As long as the developer is talented any style can be really good.

Usually 3d, but there's a few hand drawn that I do prefer.

I tend to lean more towards 3D, animation is a bonus. Hand drawn is more of a hit or miss.

For me hand drawn or 2D will always be my preferred lewd game art style.

I prefer 3DCG, but as long as the art style is coherent hand drawn art can also peak my interests.
AI generated art mostly has something to it that feels a little off for me. Manga is not my cup of tea as I do not like the exaggerated style.

I really dont like HC models and there are some other 3dcg programs that look bad... that said there are a lot of artists that dont have the ability to make handrawn art as good as some of the 3d programs can.

I dont know that I have a preference for which is better. For me its usually depending on how much effort can be seen in the renders.
