I like it, but it's probably best for most devs to not focus on it since in most cases your're comitting to either a time skip in the game or just putting the pregnancy in the end/epilogue.
I've played way more games than I could possibly remember. I haven't supported any games through patreon or other similar sites, but I have bought games that have actually finished on sites like steam and itch.io
I don't have any games to recommend focused on just the mom. The Spellbook has fantastic optional mom ntr as well as other characters close to the MC. A Family Venture has some pretty good NTR optional stuff with the mom and sisters.
It's been great to see this game be technically complete but still recieving updates. This is a dev that I'll always keep an eye on all their future projects
A lot of it is just the fact that the Internet as a whole is slowly becoming more and more sanitized. Governments want to control what you consume on the internet in general. It seems to even be getting to the point where mainstream porn sites are going to be harder to access. In the US at least...
Summer Memories is the one I can easily point to. I llike the idea of the game, but when it comes to playing the game I just do not enjoy the gameplay.
I think part of the problem is just the fact that most people are going to see other male characters in the game as competion to the MC. Even if the friend is well written, most are also worried that the dev might decide to suddenly introduce NTR into the game.
Completed games don't really make me sad that they end. I'm just happy when a good game actually finishes. As far as abandoned games go, Ecchi Sensei was such a bummer to not get any more content from.
Bloodbourne easily wins for me. The gameplay might be better in other games of the genre but the atmosphere and design of that game hits just right. Fromsoft or Sony one needs to release a ps5 version that at least runs better.
Renpy is definitely at the top of my list for favorite engine. RPGM can be fine as long as the dev doesn't get too complicated with the sandbox element. Unity can be hit or miss depending on how well the dev can code.
I'll buy a finished game from a dev, but I can't justify supporting a game monthly in the hopes that the dev might one day finish it. Way too many games get abandoned or go through major changes that i might not like.
It doesn't bother me if there's no gallery if it's real easy to get back to each scene in normal gameplay. I tend to save before i make a dialogue choice in most vn style games, so it's easy to see any scenes very easily. For games where there's a heavy free roam element that you have to do...
