Never thought we would see the tech update, but somehow still disappointed it released with only very little content

This has to be one of the most misguided updates in H game history. It seems like the dev somehow managed to piss off EVERYONE at once.

Nice milking strategy, this release bring nothing new and they will just put some existing stuff every 2 months to win some time and some more money from patreons.

The thing is that the game is so old and has been without an update for so long that there are a lot of people that never played it. So when they see it being updated every couple of months, some of them will sub to him since it's all new content for them

It could be argued that the subs are the reason why DC doesn't give a fuck anymore. Almost 2 years without an update and people still kept supporting. Even after this release, the subs were defending him on discord. So they are getting what they deserve. They will replay all the content for the next 2 years and pretend that it is brand new.

For me, it's even worse, he does not even care about the subs.
It's a common trend among devs now to drop the game when people don't pay enough money, some disappear and come back under a new alias to make the exact copy of their previous game.
I even remember a dev that went on a full rant before leaving, his rant could be summed as: "I warned you to pay me, you didn't pay me enough so you don't deserve my game"

That's why I have respect for devs who push their games even with very few supporters

I have little hope for this game at this point. It wouldn't even surprise me if it takes another 3 years for the full tech update to be finished. Unless he loses a lot of support on patreon he has no reason to speed up the development. Dude makes half a mil per year. He has more than enough money to hire people to help him. If you check their progress tracker all the art is pretty much done. There is only one task left. He could easily hire 2 or 3 peolle to help him with the code and posing. He just doesn't want to.

500K a year is crazy.
Maybe I expressed myself poorly but my point was that he does not even care enough to continue if he loses support he will probably move on to other things. He probably forgot how to work at this point

I've had to restart this game so many times, I feel like I could speed-run it.

I have to say, pretty disapointing. Waiting so long and now the hole game get a rework? So it will be more than a year until it´s on the content level where it was. And also until than probaly no new content.

To be fair the tech update was never supposed to have new content. It was just meant to clean up the code and convert it to widescreen. The problem is that they said the tech update would take around 9 months when they made the poll on patreon and 3+ years later this is what we get. For the amount of money he makes there is really no excuse for him to take this long. But since the patrons seem to not really care and even defend him, he will keep doing the same thing. His kids will graduate college by the time this game is finally finished.
