It's a cunning business model. Spend so long developing a game that your engine is obsolete. Start rebuilding on a new engine, take so long it too becomes obsolete. Rinse and repeat.

What a disaster, the original game had lots of content, a decent enough story with good characters and a unique artsyle love it or hate it. Only to spin it's wheels for years, remove content, and focus on the most boring and who gives a fuck side characters that don't advance the overall story. Unless you haven't played this before there really isn't any reason to check back in with this one.

This is genuinely a good game with interesting characters and a fairly unique art style. That being said, it's hard to recommend because the updates have slowed to a trickle.

It's an absolute joke. Dark Cookie earns more than 30-50K a year. I refuse to believe that he can't hire couple of people who would help out with the process. But no, no. Let's take over a year to make a technical update.
It's sad because there's so many people who deserve more support than this hack of a project.
Great project, utterly terrible management that's milking people. Just like majority of big VNs out there.

My bad, I know it's 1 month. It got coupled with my wanting to say that he makes one update a year and calls it a day xD
I keep my eyes open on milking schemes like Summertime saga or Cloud Meadow.

The tech update is at 83%, I don't remember the last time I checked. Despite this, I'm still waiting, I love the game!

V.21.00 rating is actually a zero. The tech "upgrade" is a tech downgrade instead, The current one you can play with cheat mode but what you get is a severely chopped version of the actually good game with most of the game not there anymore. The "improved" graphic quality actually gives me a headache and none of the scene is better quality than the older much more full content version. Why would you take an almost completed game and turn it into a dumpster fire product instead? I was massively disappointed in the direction the DEV went with his game. So much for me wanting to play it now as at the rate of his upgrades it will take another 5 years to reach a worse looking version of the older version before the tech upgrades. Worst move ever in my opinion. Its an opinion and you can either agree or disagree.
