I wish Ketzal all the best and good luck with his future projects.

And I hope that maybe in the future, when things calm down, his heart and desire will once again bring us these beautiful and wonderful lolis/shotas & milf characters.

If he decides to keep making games you will most definitely see milfs and probably girls in their late teens. But loli and shota? I doubt it.
I will count it as a HUGE win if he just doesn't quit making games altogether.
That is my biggest worry, as sad as I am to see them abandoned, I already accepted the fact that the games are dead, but it would be horrible if he just quit making games. Dude is so talented, his art is some of the best in the adult gaming scene.

eh no lolis = who cares, there's already literally thousands such games even just in Daz/Renpy (though far fewer completed) and already more than anyone can read in their lifetime, unless that's all they did for 15h a day for the next 50 years. I'm at the same point as music, movies, and vanilla porn: there's already so much I couldn't care less if another was ever made again, as no one will live long enough to run out of it and they would most likely be bored with it long before that point even if they could live to 500.

Meh I don't really care about lolis that much, SSP was my favorite game but it wasn't because of the loli or even the incest content, I just really liked his art and the way he tells stories.

Keeping the taboo files a separate download will not even protect you.

Like I said before you can't beat the system the minute someone rats you out your done.

Some developers just get away with doing certain taboo games longer then others.

Bottom-line you can't commercialize these type of games, and you have to keep your sites clean.

Doing them as a hobby and being self funded is the only way. You wont need the exposure then.

This! It's exactly how it works. In many countries including mine it's illegal to even have this game on your PC. Painted pixels is a crime. Of course it will be immensely hard to promote a game then where it's very content makes you a criminal for even touching. At some point as a developer there is a limit and Ketzal hit said limit. It's just not worth it anymore and I totally understand him even though I'm also very sad.

Seeing EGBE die makes me feel like the games+ scene has essentially died. There are no other games with this type of content that are worth following. The "most" promising ones barely have a couple of miniature updates.

It's true. There's nothing left in this section worth spending time and money on every day.
SSP It wasn't as boring as others of its kind; it had something that kept you tuned in for updates. But now that it's been abandoned, there's no fun to be had here anymore. Other sections are for premium members, and how do you know if you'll find what you're looking for in those premium sections? So you don't pay for something you'll regret later?

Nowadays, no one dares to make games with content and genres that are “too far-fetched” (you know what I mean) and varied, for fear of many things. It's clear that at some point everything will disappear for many reasons.

In my case, I stopped looking for specific games in this section, but I would occasionally check to see if SSP had been updated (and two others), until I saw the “abandoned” label.

Let's face it, the time will come when there will be no good games with good development, and that aren't so generic and abandoned after a short time, or because they were made just to make money with no intention of finishing the game.
No one makes good games anymore that aren't abandoned or that get updates every 200 years.
Now, with those censorship laws in the UK, many things may change.

Yeah that's kinda what I've been doing lately without realizing it, playing shit like Factorio (Space Age is da bomb). I still add AVNs to my collection if they seem worth downloading (ie not a female protag, not a sandbox, not some obsolete interface like html or RPGM, not 2D, lolis and incest getting priority, etc) or have an update, but I haven't actually played anything in nearly a month now. I was hyped for S2 of SSP to find out what happened to the dausis after she shot her dad and why, but that is now all done gone to hell. and now I'm with you, and ready to just say fuck it all. Wish he would have simply moved to Unifans and simply made another Discord like everyone else does every so often after predictably getting banned (not too hard if you keep a .txt of the server layout and settings, just reinvite everyone with a new link, wax, rinse, repeat as necessary), the few loli devs still getting paid are now mostly thru that with SS shadowbanning them all.

I just sent a zip to another member in a dm and the link is already dead I think (2 days, that's gotta be a record, but it wasn't encrypted and named ketzal.7z so go figure). He did manage to grab it and plans to link it here when he has time, if he doesn't I guess I'll upload it again, though PIA does slow down my connection (3.7GB = ~1 hour).

for real... EGBE and SSP were so high quality and well done, truly a labor of love. Idk why did he abandoned it so easly after puting so much effort in it.

I mean he didn't abandon it easily, dude went as far as moving to another country to work on his games, the problem is that, he was having troubles with SS, a lot of people couldn't sub to him because their cards kept getting declined, and on top of that every time he found a new platform for him to monetize the games he kept getting banned. Then he loses his discord and the only platform where he is still able to monetize the game shadowbans him. People are saying that he should've moved to unifans. Yea he could've done that, but if you look at their rules they also don't allow loli content and there are devs and artists that have been banned from there.
So even if he did that it would just be a matter of time until he got banned again.
I don't think you guys are taking into consideration how mentally taxing that must be. It was not an easy decision for him. This was his ONLY source of income. So now he had to abandon the games he loved and is out of a job.
Now he has 2 options he can either quit game making altogether or he can try to create a more vanilla game and move to a platform that is more user friendly like patreon. Without loli content I think he would thrive there. Hopefully he does that.

Simple this wasn't the first time he was targeted and eventually it's just not worth it. That is the sad reality.

Read his post on the forum he has to eat and can't make free games after being banned from most pay sites and payment processors.
