The main purpose of sending you a message was to inform you. But the fact that the message was not locked was a way to see if you have any requests. We've worked together for a few years, more than likely, to understand how we do things around here. Staying informative and making compromises with fellow Developers in case there are potential issues. So you making a request, we'd more than likely honor it. If we did not wish to work with Developers, there'd be no 14 days grace period to begin with.

To us, it didn't look like you were calm. It looks as though you accused us of disrespecting you and your work when we had no intention of doing such. Thus this argument started.
@SeveredRealms Really think we should drop this for the time being and leave it at this. Whatever discussions that are needed can be done via DM as it looks like we're getting a few trolls in here. Last thing we need is both of us being disrespected.

After everything happened I know the conversation should stop since it isn't really the place and like it was said there were troll being posted in all of this. But I do feel like if a dev is active and posting a public version. Him being the only one that can post is safer than a random leaked version. If the dev isn't active on his forum than yeah there's nothing to lose, but posting before the dev himself has some risk to it. When I'm downloading a game I prefer a game published by the dev than a leaked version. Even if the leak version was found 1-2 months in advance.

ps: I can delete my comment if people want to clean what happened. I just wanted to give my point of view, but I didn't really wanted to create a random post since I don't really wanted to start a discussion on it. Everyone is working hard for what they feel right, so the least we can do is to give some help and not create more drama or put oil on the fire (I don't know if this expression translate well in english) Anyway have a good day everyone

Excellent scenes (when you can unlock them), hot renders and cool story... but MY GOD, is it ever one convoluted mess of twisted plotlines and points. It pains me to say this, but all the effort that went into the choices and paths would've been better spent making the whole thing a regular VN.
I appreciate the effort, but the choices are lost on me.
Don't know it I'm the only one who feels this way.

Well... this is why we can't have nice things. @ketzal I know you're probably very frustrated because of the leak but I hope you reconsider and don't delete your account. I know that you don't owe me or anyone else here, anything, but there are a lot of people that really appreciate the fact that you take time of your day to interact with us and it really sucks to see you leave because of the actions of a few really dumb people (I am not talking about any of the staff here. I am talking about the people that leaked the game)

Also, If the OP reads me: theres a non zero possibility that the leaker was indeed someone actively tring to damage you. Would argue that going full damage control and removing yourself from a -however fragile- community could be worse than the damage already done.

Sorry for doing another post but this is actually really pissing me off. The dev comes here daily, interacts with us and answers questions about the future of the game and tries to help people that are having issues and the only thing he asks is for us to wait for the public release which is 100% free for everyone without any content paywalled. And I know that people will reply with "it's a piracy site" but come on dude this doesn't benefit anyone. Now if he leaves you need to rely 100% on people leaking the game and hope that the people that are doing it aren't messing with the game and adding bullshit malware. When you get the public version you even have the advantage of having the game already tested by the supporters and you will get the most stable version. You're throwing all of that away just to play the game a few days earlier. It's so fucking stupid. I don't want him to leave but yea when people are that fucking dumb they really deserve to eat shit.

I mean even if they just want the game for free, they're not really winning. The dev was already releasing the game for free anyway and if he leaves now you just have to pray that the leakers release bugfixed versions as well and that they don't mess with the game and add some malware, which is something that has become kind of a serious issue lately. So yea.. no one wins.

I can understand why the "exception clause" exists.
And all the players here want to play every game as quickly as possible and you want to make the portal as attractive as possible.
I can understand all of that.

But: We're talking about a period of 14 days after release. Everyone should be able to have that much patience - There are enough games to jerk off to.

However, direct communication with the devs can sometimes still be read here for years - And that should be worth its weight in gold.

That's why I also think: yes, we all need a good platform where the games are available.
But there are plenty of pirate platforms too, but only a few where the devs personally interact with the players.
And without devs, there are no games, without games, there is no platform.
It's as simple as that.

The public version on SS has always been hidden, not to deprive anyone of the game, but to avoid... unwanted publicity. As I myself make the posts here in the public version, I didn't need to publish on SS.
