discussion Story or straight to the point?

How important is the story in an adult game for you? Do you enjoy long narratives, or do you prefer games that get straight to the point?
I usually prefer no story at all. Just a few brief, coherent dialogues to provide some context.

Depends on the quality of the work and the amount of effort justification that I can convince myself to do. There is something to be said about a very grindy or story rich game that rewards peak content at the end, but it better not be something that is "mid" just for me to have to grind 10 hours to see it. That will cause me to quit the game. I think that the story is important to me because otherwise I would just watch porn.

I think establishing relationships and power dynamics adds to the experience. Anything more than that is just distracting.

I personally like my story on the shorter side, but it still has to have some though put into it. Some games sideline the story so much that it ruins the larger experience. To my mind, if the setting and plot aren't set up properly, it ends up feeling like there are no stakes to anything.

Story is the hottest part. It sets the scene. To long of a story can bore me fast so something short and well thought out can enhance the experience tremendously.

depends on the game i guess.. if the story is good i just keep reading.. if the story is boring but the animation/art style/models are good i just get to the point

If the story isn't good, then obviously it's bad. Just give small context (or none) and that's all.

But if the story is good enough, I might end up playing the game for only the story and skipping the sex entirely.

Basically, it depends on the quality of the story. There's always a time and place though, sometimes I'd rather play a long story game but other times maybe I just want a sex simulator and that's all.

A good story improves the setting and feeling of a porn game. A bad story takes away from the game. So include one if youre capable of writing it, otherwise, make the game remarkable in a different way.

If the story is good, I don't mind a long story. But many ramble on and on with meaningless dialog. Blackheart Games, for me, have too much useless dialog for example.
I don't mind games that get to the point quick, but a good story and then some naughty time as a reward is more rewarding and meaningful.

Hmm, I think the story is essential in this media. It's not that I'm willing to wait an hour to get to the point, but if I didn't want some context along the way, I'd rather watch a video than play the game

Having a (good) story really helps with the buildup to the sexy parts. Otherwise, scenes can feel bland. The issue I have is that a lot of games have terrible to mid stories.

if the story is good and gets a mood going then yeah. but not to much story just gets in the way
